Leila's POV

"Feeling better?" Eve asked as she once again checked my forehead.

"Yes, I am."
I said, maybe a little rudely.

"I think Sean's back."
Eve whispered.

Just then, the door of the room opened and in came a worried Sean.

"What happened?"
He asked as he sat close to me.

"She's not okay and she isn't letting me call the doctor."
Eve told him with a pout.

"Why not?" He asked with an expression that told me he'd be mad at me in no time.

"Leave that. Any news about Em?"
I asked as I walked to him with hopeful eyes.

"No. We checked a few places and...we didn't find her. But, we're trying."
He told me trying to use some words that would change the fact that they didn't find her.

My hope had drained out with this flood. My arms fell.

"Trying, yeah thanks for that."
I taunted.

"Leila, we're trying." Sean said trying to reason with me.

"The hell with your trying, Sean! What kind of kingdom is this?! The King can't find a girl?!"
I yelled at him and it was obvious that I shouldn't had.

But, sometimes it's more than just what you think is right or wrong. It's about the truth. It was true how I thought it was so stupid that a king couldn't find a girl in his kingdom.

Sean was...disappointed.

"I...should leave." Eve said and walked out of the argument she was never in.

"I'll call Dr. Smith." Sean said without looking me in the eye.

He also walked out.

Awesome.

.....

Sean's POV

Leila's behavior had shocked me. I was ready for her questions but not accusations.
I walked out to the kitchen and called Dr. Smith.

He was an old human, who very well.knew my parents so, he knew about Supernaturals.

Whenever Leila would be sick, I called him as he could treat Leila and not be amazed about Supernaturals.

He picked up quite soon.

"Dr. Smith?" I confirmed.

"That's my name. Who am I talking to?" He asked pleasantly.

"Sean. Sean Strigoi. Remember?" I asked while narrowing my eyes.

"Oh yes, yes kid. How are you? And how's your friend who was sick?"
I was shocked at his sharp memory in this age.
He still remembered that he had treated Leila when I told her she was my mate and she fainted.

"Actually...I wanted to call you for her. She's a little sick so could you come over for a moment?"
I asked hopefully or else Leila would waste no time to slaughter me with her anger.

"Uh...Not immediately 'cause I'm busy but after half an hour?"
He asked.

"Sure, I can wait."

"Yes, yes. You know a doctor's commitment."
He said and then chuckled at his own supposed joke or whatever it was meant to be.

"Yes. I'm waiting."
I said with a little chuckle too not knowing how to react in another way.

"Well, see you then."
He said and then ended the call.
