"You're off the case. The FBI is taking over." Jeffery announced.
"What?.. But we're onto something! We... We just need more time. I'm sure we can-"
"Hank, you don't get it. This isn't just another investigation, it's a fucking civil war! It's out of our hands now... We're taking about national security here." Jeffry explained.
"Fuck that! You can't just pull the plug now. Not when we're so close!" Hank argued.
"You're always saying you can't stand androids! Jesus, Hank, make up your mind! I though you'd be happy about this!"
"Hank-" Aaron tried to talk to him but Hank cut her off and ignored her.
"We're about to crack the case!.. I know we can solve it! For God's sake, Jeffery, can't you back me up this one time?" Hank pleaded.
"There's nothing I can do. You both are back on homicide and the android returns to CyberLife. I'm sorry, Hank, Aaron, but it's over." Jeffry finished.
I felt Aaron tense up with his last words. Her eyes widened and head down. Hank then stormed out of the room and back to his desk. I looked to Aaron, and we both nodded to Jeffry before going back to Hank. I sat on his desk and Aaron sat in the chair in front of it.
"We could've solved this case! We just needed more time!" I said a bit frustrated.
Hank nodded before turning to me.
"So you're going back to CyberLife?" Hank said while I could feel the sadness radiate off of Aaron.
"I have no choice... I'll be deactivated and analyzed to find out why I failed..." I looked down.
"What if we're on the wrong side? What if we're fighting against people who just want to be free?" Hank said and Aaron looked up to him.
"When the deviants rise up, there will be chaos. We could've stopped it!.. But now it's too late."
"When you refused to kill that android at Kamski's place..." Aaron spoke. "You put yourself in her shoes. You showed empathy, Connor. Empathy is a human emotion. You even saved me from the android at the strip club, suddenly not caring for the blue haired Traci. You even saved Hank on the rooftop." She reasoned.
"I don't know why I did it..."

"I'm not programmed to say this like this, but... I really appreciated working with you. Both of you. With a little more time, who knows..."
Then it was silent for a moment before Hank spoke.
"Well, well, here comes Perkins, that motherfucker... Sure don't waste any time at the FBI..." We all turned our heads to Perkins before I looked back at Aaron and Hank.
"We can't give up... I know the answer is in the evidence we collected. If Perkins takes it, it's all over." I tried to convince.
"There's no choice! You heard Fowler, we're off the case." He was already giving up.
I quickly hopped off the desk.
"You've got to help me, Lieutenant. I need more time so I can find a lead in the evidence we collected. I know the solution is in there!"
"Listen, Connor..."
"If I don't solve this case, CyberLife will destroy me. Five minutes. It's all I ask." I pleaded once more.
Hank looked to Aaron and she gave him a nod. He stood up.
"Key to the basement is on my desk..." I watched him while he was about to walk away. "Well get a move on! I can't distract him forever." I quickly grabbed the key, and me and Aaron headed for the basement.
