-Aaron's POV-

I sigh as the door closes behind him. I turned my head to look back in front of me before relaxing the rest of my body, making me fall back as I closed my eyes. I open my eyes to blankly stare at the ceiling, as thoughts ran through my head. Ugh, I don't wanna get up... I rolled my eyes and sighed once more. I continued to lay there like a statue. As I began to close my eyelids, a loud ringing sound echos the whole house.

I groaned and didn't get up. The laziness was too much. More ringing began to echo through the house as I groan louder and crash my eyebrows together in annoyance. I knew it wasn't Connor because he has a key and he just left the house. Even if he did come back because he forgot something, still, he has the keys.

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" I shouted as the ringing had finally stopped.

I angrily got up and whined a but as I made my way to the front door. Vanilla ran to me as she jumped up and down, barking to see who it was.

"Calm down, Vanilla." I said as I opened the door to be greeted by no one.

"Are you kidding me?" I said boringly.

I popped my head out and looked right and left to see if I can spot anyone or anything. I finally look down to see a medium-sized box. I crashed my eyebrows together in confusion.

"I don't remember ordering something online." I said aloud to Vanilla.

I picked up the box and looked at her. She just barked at me and ran off. I shrugged and quickly closed the door because it was pretty chilly out there. The box was a bit heavy and cold because it was left outside. It had the words 'This side up' and 'fragile' beside it. First thing that came to my mind was glass. I walked to the kitchen and carefully placed the box on the counter. I could hear clinks from the inside and my assumption of glass grew.

I took a knife from the set close to the stove and turned back around to the box. I poked the opening that was being held with tape and then sharply cutting it with one swift motion, not too deep. I opened the flaps and I was correct. It was glass bottles filled with a familiar blue liquid. I picked up one of the bottles that had CyberLife's name printed and placed it on the counter as I start to take everything out of the box. That's when the surprise popped up in my head. Oh that's right!CyberLife has been sending me these bottles of thirium for Connor. I thought it was adorable.

I decided to just leave that surprise there for him until he gets back to see it. Now, I'm wide awake and motivated to do something, so I walk up the stairs and to my bedroom. I unlock the secret passage to my weapons and grab one of the new guns that I have been sent. It's been a while since I've been to the basement, so I made sure the gun was locked on safety mode. I headed back downstairs and made sure Vanilla wasn't following me so she doesn't get hurt or bothered.

As I opened the door, I flicked the switch to turn the lights on and made sure the door was closed behind me. I walked down the stairs and opened another set of lights. I took a few steps in and looked all over, remembering the all the times I've spent alone here. Training, practicing, getting my mind off things, stress relief, etc. The last time I came here, I trained to get my mind off the problems and difficulty I had. This time, I wanted to practice shooting range and aiming. I've been having a bit of trouble, so know I wanted to try to regain the skills I use to have.

The cut-out didn't have any holes in them yet, so I was glad I didn't have to change it. I walked up to the side and I pressed a red button for the target to start moving around. I quickly stood back in my original spot. The gun had a silencer but just in case, I put on ear protection. I positioned myself before aiming and began to shoot. Not bad, not bad. Time passed without me knowing. The only thing that stopped me for a break was my phone vibrating in my pocket. It was already 2:46 PM. I took the ear protection off and set the gun down as I looked at the called ID.

"Hank..?" I said out loud.

"Aaron!" He panted through the phone.

Immediately, my eyebrows crashed together and I was a little worried.

"Hank? Why do you sound so urgent? What's wrong?" I began with my hands on my hips, thinking what could've happened.

"Aaron, I need... your help..." He sounded like he was having a hard time breathing. "My... place..." Then he stopped.

"Hank? Hank?!" I shouted.

I looked down to my phone, panicking and wondering why he had gone quiet. The phone call had ended.

"Fuck!" I cursed.

I instantly take the gun back in my hands and tucked it in the back pocket of my jeans for now. I ran back upstairs and grabbed my jacket and shoes. Vanilla stood there watching me as I rushed. I didn't care about zipping up or bringing any other things to keep me warm. All I thought about was Hank. I forgot that Connor took my keys to the motorcycle and groaned in frustration. I grabbed my car keys instead and quickly hopped in, taking the gun out of my back pocket and throwing it on the passenger seat. I started the car and and sped to Hank's place. Oh God, please be okay...
