Anissa's POV

SIDE NOTE: The following conversations take place in SPANISH but I wrote them in English so i wouldn't have to write every single convo translated.

"And for the final question, miss," The officer asks as I stare blankly at the remains of the car," Did you happen to write a license plate number down before the car drove away?"

"No," I answer dryly for what feels like the hundredth time tonight,"I already told you I didn't. Can I leave now? I really need to see how my friends are doing."

"Of course," The annoying officer says putting his pen and notepad back into his pocket,"Sorry to keep you." I give the officer a nod before turning back around to Mariano's car and climbing in. I grab my phone from the cup holder and search the directions I need to get to the hospital.

Good only a twenty minute drive.

I listen intently to Siri giving me directions as I drive as quickly as I can weaving in and out of traffic. I try as hard as I can to focus on the road in front of me so that I don't keep replaying the horrid images I now have burned into my brain. But focusing on the road does no use, it's as if my mind is stuck on the moment Harry and Mariano were pulled up like rag dolls out of that ditch. I shutter as I see the image again.

After the ambulance left the firefighters had said because I wasn't immediate family I needed to stay until the police arrived so that I could explain what happened and what I saw. As much as I wanted to just take off and leave to the hospital I knew it was only right to Harry for me to report the incident. But with every stupid question the officer asked I felt myself regretting the decision of staying. The officer clearly didn't care about finding the ones responsible for what happened tonight. Mariano was right, the police were bought out and worthless here.

"Your destination will be on your left," Siri instructs. I find my way into the parking lot, leaving the car in the first spot I can find. I look up at the large glowing sign that reads, 'Hospital Ángeles Metropolitano', feeling guilt wash over me.

I've been trying as hard as I can to push this guilty feeling away, but it keeps coming up. None of this would have happened if Harry and I weren't fighting. I caused this. Harry only threw that bottle because he was jealous of Mariano because of me. It all comes back to me.

I push the car off and reach over to the passenger seat to grab my shoes when I realize I left my other heel behind. I then look down at my revealing dress and feel naked. If I'm going in bare foot, I need to draw as little attention to myself as possible.

I search the tiny back seat of Mariano's car for anything to cover up in. I feel grateful when I find a simple olive green knit sweater wedged under the seat. I step out of the car and pull the sweater over my head quickly before reaching back into the car for my phone and purse.

I walk as fast as I can through the hospitals front entrance earning weird looks from the few people sitting around in the lobby.I brush it off, my appearance being the last thing I care about right now.

"Hi, I need to find two patients that were brought in tonight," I tell the nurse at the check in desk.

"Okay, what are the names?" She asks giving me a warm smile.
