A Blessing and a Curse

A BLESSING AND A CURSE

It's both a blessing
And a curse
To feel everything
So very deeply

Salty, trembling liquid
From a broken heart
Spills out with no warning evermore
Like the raspy cry of the raven

The colours of fire
And blood shed by men prior
Boil over inside me
Becoming cold but never unignited

Birds of Paradise bloom
And flutter in my heart
Joined by tulips and roses
Displaying red plumage

Tiny fireworks splatter rainbows
All over the emptiness
Showering the void with colour and light
Dancing like the auroras

Abrupt sounds of cymbals form
Never erupting, but brewing eternally
Which is the loudest with the most vile colour?
The answer or the echo?

A purple haze coats all vision
Like light snow in the Winter
Knitting together warmth
And laying quilts and throws over me

Black holes devour light
Only foul neon greens, reds, yellows remain
A cage and rope bounds everything together
Forming an irreversible tightness

The steady rhythm of a clock
Unsteadies uneven breathing
The sound of cymbals return again
Now a low roll, going on and building up infinitely

It's both a blessing
And a curse
To feel everything
So very deeply...

A.N. Again, sorry I haven't updated in a while. I was camping with my cousins and I actually wrote this one a week ago because my counsellor asked me to show her one of my poems... And the photo doesn't relate to anything I just like it.
