I don't know when

Or how time will pass

Till then

But I'll see you again.

In my dreams I can fly

Even to you.

I can even fly

Through the problems we've been through.

It's nights like these where I play pretend

In my fantasy world

Happiness has no end.

The illusions stretch

As far as the eye can see

And although they end

I won't seem like that to me.

It's nights like these

When I wish I could sleep forever.

In my dreams you are safe

In the embrace of my arms

Not in the embrace of the earth

You were lain into.

It's nights like these

Where I wish all was dark.

The dark doesn't hurt

Because nothing is for sure

In the dark.

When I remember you're gone

I can convince myself

That the dark is playing tricks on me

And that you're just not visible

At the moment.

Although the illusions;

The world I have built myself

Ends after a while

If you wait long enough

If you walk long enough

If you are strong enough

To rip it apart...

Although the illusions end

My world will not

That already happened when I lost you.

Even though you can't hear me

I sing our songs...

I recite this poem...

A world without you

I can't live in

So I won't.
