Wednesday

I am such a coward.

Every morning and afternoon so far, I have taken a different train.

I have been caught.

Did he know I was staring at him this whole time?!

I am so embarrassed.

LISA: Don't be late! It's my belated birthday dinner!

I bite my lip. I had no other choice but to take my usual bus home.

I mean what are the odds of seeing him again? Plus, he probably forgot about me and got a new girlfriend or something.

As soon as the train landed in the platform, I rush out and don't even dare to look across the platform.

I feel myself relax as I step onto the bus.

It's crowded, but I find a spot standing up and hold onto the grip handles.

I get bumped into so suddenly, I nearly fall into the person seated in front of me.

I turn to look and realize that it's him.

Train boy, Taehyung, him.

He's holding onto the bar since he's tall enough to, but right behind me.

As I look up at him, he stares back from behind his curly fringe.

I twitch my head away and gulp.

Wait, what about his ex-girlfriend?

I slowly peak to see if she is anywhere on the bus.

She is.

She's all the way in the back and she is fuming.

There is no winning.

I keep my eyes forward.

The whole bus ride, I could feel his gaze on me, but we never spoke.

It was time for my stop.

I struggle to pull the pull-string to notify the driver it's my stop.

He easily pulls it for me.

"T-thank you." I softly speak, trying hard to find my voice.

He nods as I slip past him.

I turn one last time to look at him before getting off.

He holds up the peace sign by his eye.

The peace sign: the sign that changed everything.
