            || Adriana's POV ||

(continued)

"Two Shrimp Alfredos." We turned our gaze onto the waitress.

"Thank you." Gabriel said.
"Thank you." I whispered shyly.

The waitress left, leaving me and Gabriel alone.

Just the two if us.

Ughh I don't know how to be on a date.

I've never been on one before.

"Adriana?" I heard his voice break me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, ye- yes? Sorry." I stuttered.

"No you're alright, you were just staring at that elderly women over there and she looked like she wanted to hit you with her cane." He laughed before eating a fork full of noodles.

I joined in on the laughter before digging into my food as well.

"You into any sports?"

"Uhh no not really, what about you?" I answered, biting my lip hoping he didn't think I was lame for not being into sports.

"I love football. Like love love loveeee it." He said excitedly.

"Is that so? What's your favorite team?" I asked biting into a breadstick.

"New England Patriots! Without a doubt. They're the best!" He said.

"I've heard of them before. I think my little brother likes that team as well but he's more into basketball." I said awkwardly not really wanting to talk about football.

"That's cool."

I watched as he took his gaze off my eyes and onto my hand.

"Why are you staring at my hands?" I took them off the table and placed them on my lap.

"Sorry, I was just looking at that scar." He sounded concerned.

"Oh that? Yeah I got cut by some glass when I was younger. Silly oh me was a little too playful that day." I took a fork full of my food avoiding eye contact.

That whole thing was a lie, sorta.

I did get cut just now by glass.

When I was just getting into the prostitute world, I didn't want to do everything I do now.

I told the person that I would do something and I didn't keep my word so he got extremely angry with me.

He pulled out his pocket knife and boom, I seen blood streaming down my hand.

But if course I wasn't going to tell him that, he thinks I work at Target.

"You ever been ice skating?"

"I have but not in a few years why?"

"Just wondering, I love Ice skating. I go every year."

"That's nice."

The rest of the night we talked about anything from pirates to galaxies. It felt perfect.

"Here's the bill." The waitress said walking away.

The bill came up to $48.04 which wasn't a lot.

A pulled out my wallet before I felt a hand touch mines.

"Nonsense, I'll pay." Gabriel said letting go out my hand.

"We can go half and half on it, I don't mind."

"Nah, it's my treat."

——————————————
After he paid and I tipped the waitress, we headed back to his car to begin the drive back home.

"I really enjoyed myself tonight." I moved my hair over just enough to cover some of my face.

"So did I, and you truly look beautiful there's no need to hide I don't judge." He said tucking my hair behind my ear.

We were staring into each others eyes for what felt like forever but I didn't mind.

The butterfly feeling was back in my stomach.

His grey eyes looked so soft in a way.

He broke eye contact and started the car up.

I really thought he was going to kiss. I could almost feel it.

"This is my song!" I squealed, turning the radio up.

"What girl doesn't like this song!?" He giggled over the music.

I sung along until I heard Gabriel start singing.

"Cause if you liked it, then you should have put a ring on it-"

"Why'd you stop singing?" I question, amused by his cuteness.

"Wait what? I wasn't singing." He totally denied.

"Come on, I don't judge either, you can sing Beyoncé in front of me." I smiled turning the radio up a little louder.

We singed songs the rest of the ride just enjoying each others company.

——————————————

He parked his car in his usual spot and helped me out of the car.

"Thanks for tonight, I've never been on a real date before."

"No thank you, I had fun, I hope I can take you on many more."

"I hope so too."

There we were again, staring into each others eyes.

It felt like he was reading my thoughts.

"You enjoy the rest of you night, I'll text you in a little bit." He said, placing a kiss on my forehead before stepping into his car.

He left me standing there with a stupid smile on my face.

Once his car pulled off, I made my way to the apartment.

I slipped my heels of at the front door and went to the living room to fine Joaquín asleep on the couch.

I smiled at how adorable he was and sat my purse on the counter top.

After I washed my makeup off and slipped into some Pjs, I snuggled up next to him and turned the Tv to Martin.

Martin always came on late at night which I wasn't mad about because it always gave me a good laugh after work.

A notification sound from my phone made me break my laughter.

Gabriel - Good night beautiful.
- received at 12:34 AM

A smile grew onto my face from the message.

I never got to experience things like this so I didn't know how to feel.

I texted him back and locked my phone.

I could get use to this.
