Alex's P.O.V
I walk to Lillian's house, which is only down the street. She sounded so heartbroken on the phone. The last time I heard her that sad was when she tried to kill herself. I hope she hasn't been cutting again.
There could not have been a worse time for Matthew to leave. Things have almost gotten back to normal after Lillian's suicide attempt plus it's her first year of high school.
I finally arrive in Lillian's driveway. I walk up to her porch and let myself in, thinking she won't want to answer the door.
I step in and I hear Lillian yell from upstairs, "Dad?"
"It's just me, Lillian." I respond. I hear movement upstairs, like she's cleaning up or something. She knew I was coming over so why is she cleaning up now? Or is she hiding something? I decide to head upstairs.
