After the boy had been humiliated in front of his classmates, Sirius made sure to stay up all night thinking of the perfect plan to get her back; a way to stop these acts of humiliation all together. The black-haired boy had been waiting at the bottom of the stairs that led to the girl's dormitories from the early hours of the morning, ready to complete the first step of his plan.

Sirius had been stood there for hours, gaining singular looks from many of the girl, ages eleven to eighteen, that descended the stairs however not once had he seen the girl he was looking for, nor any of the girls from her dormitory.

"Padfoot," James vocalized as he entered the common room, "What are you doing?"

"I stayed up all night," Padfoot replied, straining his neck to see further up the stairs. "I made the perfect plan."

"To do what?"James sought, following the grey-eyed boys gaze up the stairs.

"To get Kefira back, for embarrassing me," Sirius spoke.

James did not have a chance to respond therefore sighed, as a very flustered Alice came tumbling down the stairs. The girl, seeming not to notice the two boys watching her with curiosity, pushed her whiskey hair behind her shoulders before continuing her journey towards the common room exit.

It wasn't until Sirius held onto the girl's arms was she aware that the boy was there. Sirius noticed the panic-stricken look on the girl's face and furrowed his eyebrows. "What's wrong?"

Alice looked around, her eyes were open broad, almost as if she was caught in the act of doing something she shouldn't be, "I-um...." Alice muttered, looking around wide-eyed almost as if she was looking for an escape route.

Surprising all three, a golden blonde hair girl came down the stairs her brown eyes landing on the shorter girl, "Alice!" Marlene sibilated, stomping down the last few steps, "We don't have time for chit-chat."

Alice unfixed the grip the boy had on her arm before quickly trotting out of the common room, leaving the two headstrong people behind. Marlene glared at the curious boy, the intensity in her eyes scaring him a bit.

"What do you want, Black?" The blonde sneered his name as he had only heard one other person do before. The only resemblance between her and the one she reminded him of was their tall figures and the way she glared at him with wide dark eyes that held so much intensity.

"Where's Kefira?" After taking a while to study how the two women resembled one another, Sirius answered not really considering his question.

Marlene scoffed, her eyes shimmering in some sort of hostility. "Why? Do you have something planned, are you going to throw a dungbomb at her or curse her with the hex you used on that Bertram boy the other week?"

Sirius was about to lie, say how he didn't have anything planned for the girl, but no matter how much practice he had it lying around his friends the boy couldn't seem to lie to the girl who stood in front of him. It was rather frightening, if you asked Sirius, how she stared at him as though she could see into his soul.

"I didn't-"

Sirius never got a chance to finish his statement as he was cut off by the girl herself, "Kefira's ill." Marlene seethed, "So we would appreciate it if you could put your prank war on hold, for a while."

Sirius furrowed his eyebrows, he had known Kefira since his first year and just because the two had not talked really before - until this year, that is - it didn't mean Sirius hadn't noticed how every once in awhile the girl would disappear. Rumours said that the girl was hiding a huge secret, that she was something beyond a witch, some students say that she could be an obscurus. Sirius thought all the theories were highly unlikely.

Although he never believed any of these rumours, he couldn't help but wonder; What was the girl hiding?

Sirius had been so caught up in his thoughts that he didn't realise how Peter and Remus had joined the three in the common room. Nor had he noticed how Professor McGonagall had come into the red tapestry covered room; panic-stricken on her face.

Sirius looked around confused after he had snapped out of his daze. Professor McGonagall was rushing across the common room behind a dazed Alice Fortescure.

Marlene glared at the curly-haired boy one last time before spinning on her heels and hurrying up the stairs after the two.

Four boys were left dazed in the common room, looking around at each other confused. "Must be a bad cold if they have Minnie on it," Peter commented earning a snort from James, who stood beside him.

Remus - who was leaning on the back of a chair - shook his head in disbelief, a single piece of parchment held tightly between his chiselled fingers.

As James turned his head he caught a glimpse at what the title of the parchment said. Earning Remus a raised eyebrow from James. "Remus! I thought we talked about this. You can't force the whole school into signing a petition!"

"A petition?" Sirius inquired aloud, trying to catch a glimpse of the parchment in the boy's hands. "What for?"

"For classes not to start until after eleven-am," Remus muttered, looking down at the parchment-lined with names and signatures, of all writing styles, in his hand.
