'Tears are words the heart can't say.'

She had made up her mind.tonight she was going to do it; today she was going to end it with Daniel.

It wasn't by choice, Kefira more felt the need to. She didn't want Daniel to devote his life to a woman who couldn't give him as much back.

That meant, early Wednesday morning Kefira was awake, walking down the mass of halls across Hogwarts, her mind buzzing with the thoughts that lead through it.

Her feet echoed as her shoes slapped the floor, her school cloak billowing around her.

She had to do this.

She lagged down the steps that where spread across the castle and eventually made it to the forth floor; the Ravenclaw common room.

She walked io to the door, giving a deep breath as she placed her slim fingers on the metallic handle.

'The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?'

Kefira furrowed her eyebrows. They was no way she would get this, she was lucky if she could remember the password to Gryffindor Tower.

"This is so stupid." She thought bitterly to herself. The door handle was crafted out of a shining copper, sculpted into an eagles head. It seemed to taunt her presence.

"Do I really look that smart to you?" she hissed at the handle, groaning in frustration as she did so. It stayed still, seeming as though it hadn't heard her, but it must of, for how else would it hear her answer.

Kefira groaned, spinning on her heel she stauntered down the corridor, after turning a corner she pressed her back to the wall and released her hand from her hairbobble and shaking her hair out. Then- walking at much less of a temper to last time she approached the door again and pressed her hand onto it.

'The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?'

Kefira groaned again, kicking the shin of the door with her foot. "This is stupid'"

It wasn't until night-time did Kefira finally see Daniel, she had given up at the Ravenclaw common room, for the eagle was determined she was going to have to answer that impossible riddle. It wasn't until later did Lily tell her what it was- after much disapproval for trying to sneak into the Ravenclaw tower; it turns out the answer was footsteps.

Kefira still thought it was stupid.

Very stupid.

The sun shined on her face, making her eyes shine brightly as the sun shined off them. Her steps were slow as she cautiously approached the boy, he leaned against the tree, with a book perched in his lap, facing towards the Black Lake where the sun shimmered blindingly off it.

He looked up as he heard her approach, a soft smile on his lips. "What's the matter?" He asked, scooting slightly to the side and allowing her to sit beside him.

"I just wanted to talk," Kefira spoke, looking out at the lake and following the ripples in the water made by the giant squid. "About us."

"Us?" Daniel repeated, "What about us, you're not having second thoughts, are you?

Kefira swallowed, so loudly she was almost certian he could hear, "It's just not going to work."

Kefira was surprised to see that Daniel had tears froming in his eyes, "What do you mean it's not going to work?"

She felt the guilt rise in her throat as she looked at the devestated boy, "You're too good for me. I'm not good enough for you. Dan it's not ever going to work."

Daniel's face seemd to morph into one of disgust as he stood up, his book falling to the floor, "That's your excuse? Really? 'You're too good for me?' Well you know something, Kefira? Maybe I am, because at leanst I can make up my mind about what I want. It was only the other day you was sat beside me whilst | comforted you."

Kefira had never excepted a reaction like this from Daniel, she thought he would agree and move on with his life. But no.

"Maybe I am too good for you. You always pretended to be this kind person. What's the real reason you don't like me, huh? Was it a dare between you and your pureblood friends to date me? Or was it just that you got so repulsed by not dating a pureblood?"

Kefira wasn't even given a chance to reply, for as she was about to Daniel stormed of in the other direction- leaving Kefira on her own. Only having her own thoughts to busy her mind.

A choke of pain bellowed in her throat. falling back, she rested her weight on the tree. A battle like cry escaped her lips as she fell down to the floor; her hands grabbing the dusty mud around her, looking for anything to comfort her.

Tears ran down her bony face, flooding the ground around her. Sobs racked in the air as she pressed her hand over her lips in hope to silence them.

She hadn't felt anything in awhile, now the emotion had come rushing back. It wasn't the rush of emotion most people would expect, she didn't feel guilt, or pain. She only felt anger. Not anger to anybody in perticular, well she did- but the only person she felt anger too was herself.

She was angry at herself because she was weak, because she had let the emotion break through her stony demeanor and felt weak for doing for.

Only weak people cry.

Her mother's voice rang through her mind, immediately causing her to let out another round of sobs. It had being years since she had cried, the last time being when her sister made an unecpected departure from home.

She had forgotten how crying could make a person feel so weak.

She hated it.
