'Only you can give me that feeling.'

It was a few days later that Kefira had finally been able to leave the hospital wing, she was relieved, to say the least. As the hospital wing was not a warm place, Kefira would find herself stirring awake in the middle of the night shivering; she would have to request more blankets of Madame Pomfrey, until she couldn't see above them.

Madame Pomfrey. She's the one thing Kefira would miss about the hospital wing, as she found herself with quite a lot in common to the older woman. The two had managed to make a rather strong friendship.

But now as she walked through the halls- as a free girl- Kefira ignored the outlandish looks she was receiving from students of various ages. She knew what the looks where for, as her hand was latched in a rather firm grip of a boy that many knew had a crush on the girl for years.

Kefira didn't take much notice in the looks, but it seems that Daniel was less use to this amount of attention and to help the boy she decided to take a rather long detour from the Gryffindor common room, and the two fifth years found themselves sat beside the black lake.

Watching the water twinkle their backs were pressed against the patterned bark of the oak tree. Kefira ascertained her delicate fingers across the carvings into the tree, reading some of the messages inscribed on it.

She would never admit to anybody how astonishing she thought it was- how this tree held carvings back to one thousand years ago. The old ones couldn't be seen now, but one that was quite amusing to Kefira was a weakened carving that read; (If your eyesight was good enough.) Fleamont and Euphemia. The was a rather peculiar shaped heart that surrounded the names- but that isn't what she thought was diverting.

She couldn't believe that the two people who she knew so dearly, thanks to her parents 'non-prejudice' gatherings, where together even when they were in school. The two really were soulmates.

"What lessons are you planning on taking- next year I mean?" Daniel questioned from beside the girl. Kefira removed her hands from the carvings and met the coffee-coloured eyes of Daniel Bradley.

All thoughts of the weird thing people called love leaving her mind.

"I don't know." Kefira admitted honestly, "I've always wanted to do the muggle art class... but I feel like starting in the sixth year is too late."

"I don't know." Daniel articulated, retiring his head back against the tree, " Why the muggle art, and not the wizard art class?"

Kefira shrugged, "I've grown up around magic, it's nothing special- besides, after school, I was thinking of retreating to the muggle world. You know, there's too much going on here now. I'd rather settle down, start a family maybe. Not that I could in the uprising of a war."

Kefira also yearned to take that class to irritate her origins, besides next year she would be turning seventeen, not being far of sixteen herself, and then her parents wouldn't be in control of her life anymore. No matter how much they wished to be.

Kefira knew she would be betrothed soon, as currently she was seen as a maiden to her parents. They would want her to marry someone rich, not seen as a Death Eater to the wizarding community. But a faithful servant to all that served the Dark Lord.

Even though Kefira knew it would come soon, she couldn't bring herself to leave home, she didn't want to leave and then for Angelia to return home. She didn't want her to try and save her siblings only for their parents to kill her, and the two she came to save not to be there.

After all, Lee would most likely be leaving home this summer- if he even made it home.

"I've always wanted to take the Earth Magic class," Daniel admitted, fiddling a piece of grass between his fingers.

"Why?" Kefira asked, turning her head back to curiously look him.

"I think it would be fascinating." Daniel admitted, "Learning how to control the elements."

Kefira hummed in agreement. She had to admit that it would be fun, but what use would it do to her. No matter how much she knew, there was no chance in the girl getting a job, not with her illness. Who could you imagine would want to hire someone like her?

Sirius watched from the other side of the bank, his friends around him, all fascinated in their various subjects none of them seemed to notice how the boy looked longingly across the lake.

He hadn't known where she had been for the past few days until yesterday when Remus said how Lily had been saying she was in the hospital wing. Remus never found out why- or maybe he did but chose not to tell his friends- but Sirius highly doubted that, for the 'Maranders' seemed to have a close friendship and didn't seem to share others secrets.

Sirius tried to concentrate on the incessant humming of the snitch that James had flying above his face. But soon found himself drowning out the droning sound of the snitch and paying close attention to the girl and boy across the lake.

Sirius had hoped his silly crush would have gone by now, he thought it did, that was until he saw her arrive across the lake. Her small hands interwind with Daniel Brandel.

Sirius didn't know why, but he felt nauseous as he watched the two, his stomach churned longingly and he tried to focus in on their conversation, however, no matter how hard he tried- the rattling sound of Peters sweet wrappers mixed with the crinkled pages of Remus' book and the humming of James snitch. Sirius couldn't hear what the two were saying.

He swallowed deeply as he saw Brandel reach out for her hand, wrapping it around her own. He had a genuine look of concern on his face as he watched the girl. He could see why- for Kefira did have a rather distant look on her face.

Although if you weren't looking at her closely you wouldn't see it, both Brandel and Sirius could clearly see that something was bothering the blonde girl.

Sirius wanted to stand up- he wanted to march across the lake and ask her what was wrong. Perhaps even sit down beside her a let her wrest her head on his shoulder.

But it seems Daniel had already taken his dream position as before him as Kefira Howendale, had her head resting on Daniel Brandel's broad shoulders.

Sirius had alway's hated Brandel, for he was a big supporter of Quidditch- although he never played- and he supported the wrong team. The Ravenclaw's.

For some bizarre reason, the hate for the other boy seemed to be building up rapidly in Sirius' mind. He didn't like Brandel. Not at all.
