Sweaty bodies swayed to the blaring music, Kefira Howendale being one of them. Her lungs would most likely- if not most certainly- hurt in the morning, after screaming the lyrics of One of These Nights, for the whole song. Surprisingly, she was a decent singer.

Party's always amused Remus Lupin, he was never one to be involved in partying, he didn't see the point and getting drunk to make the biggest mistakes of your life.

Although he didn't wish to make the mistakes himself, he did find it quite fascinating as he watched his peers do it. Surprising all that was not drunk out of their heads (meaning the two or three that littered the large room) Lily Evans and James Potter danced across the room for a while. Before retreating over to a corner- of which Remus couldn't see from where he stood- and only had to guess what they were doing.

Lily will regret that so much in the morning.

Another person Remus Lupin found was interesting when was drunk; Kefira Howendale. It was no secret that the girl had a secret- rather like the scared boy himself- and although the girl was rather loud around the school, never failing to throw an insult at someone who upsets her friend, it was clear that she wasn't showing everything about herself. However now, as she was drunk, the girl seemed more confident in herself and the faint scars across her body.

Remus was rather confused at the scar that was visible from under her dress. It peaked out onto her shoulder and could faintly be seen through the lacing of her dress. It looked fresh, and that made Remus gulp. He knew she couldn't be, whenever she looked ill it was never around the full moon, she can't be, she can't be a werewolf. Can she?

But people always seemed to surprise the boy.

Remus shook his head, turning his attention away from the girl to break his prying thoughts. Instead, his eyes landed on one of his best friends, or his ex as some would say, who stood across the room, his eyes fixated on the girl who Remus had once looked at.

Remus furrowed his eyebrows as he looked at the boy, why was he looking at the girl with such admiration? I thought they were enemies.

Almost as if the boy could feel the scar clad boys gaze burning into him, Sirius turned his head grey eyes fixating on Remus' own green. Sirius smiled awkwardly after he had realized the boy caught him, before slowly making a journey across the room, dodging the sweaty bodies, to finally reach the boy.

Looking into his grey eyes Remus remembered the time they dated last year. It was only a week, of cause James never found out (the two would never hear the end of it but Peter had found out after walking in on the two boys kissing.) After a week Sirius realized he was straight and Remus finally announced that he was bisexual.

It was that that made Remus realize the look he was given the girl, as he had received that look many times when they were dating; he knew Sirius wouldn't admit it easily, but he didn't need it confirming to know how he liked her.

"How long?" Remus asked as the boy stood beside him.

Sirius pretended to act confused and looked at the boy with his eyebrows furrowed, but after seeing the look on Remus' face he knew that he knew. Sighing Sirius ran a hand through his luxurious hair. "Just now." Noticing the look of disbelief that plastered Remus' face, he held his hands up in surrender, "Hey, I'm being serious!"

"If you say so." As he watched over to where she was dancing with a Ravenclaw, Daniel Brandel Remus believed his name to be, where the two was getting rather close- drawing attention to the handsome girl and boy. "Why don't you go talk to her?" Remus suggested, watching as she took another swig of her firewhisky; there was no denying the monster hangover she was going to have the next morning.

Sirius let out a laugh, even though what Remus said wasn't funny, before drinking the rest of the firewhisky in his hand and pleneshing in the burning chill it created down his spine. Placing the bottle on the ledge that ran around the edge of the room, Sirius turned to look at Remus. "It's just a stupid crush- in fact, it's not even that- I just think she looks pretty tonight, besides," Sirius nodded in the direction of the blonde and the heated dancing with that Ravenclaw boy, "I'm almost certain she's with that Brandel boy."

Although to most, Sirius was good at hiding his true feeling, after the week of dating the two had together, Remus learned how to read the boys face- it was hard, but somehow he could do it. And much to Sirius' displeasure, Remus knew immediately that he was only pretending.

For this was more than a crush, and both of them knew it, Sirius was falling for Kefira as James did for Lily. The problem, unlike Lily, Kefira didn't know about her admirer. And Sirius wished to keep it that way.

Sirius was perfectly fine watching the girl, she was happy, and that was all that mattered to Sirius. Because, at that moment, he couldn't help but watch the girl a tumble of blonde curl fell as she danced around, her small fingers wrapped around the bottle as she drowned herself in alcohol.

Pangs of jealously submerged him hundreds of feet deep as he watched the boy snake his arms around her, his black hair falling into his face as soul like eyes searched hers before he leaned forward and pressed his chapped lips against hers.

A slight curve, like the rim of a champagne glass, formed its way onto her rosy lips as the two's pressed together.

Spinning on his heel Sirius walked away from his friend, one destination in his mind. Arriving at the table he broke off a metal cap of a bottle away and downed its contents in seconds. Feeling relief as the alcohol washed over him, Sirius placed the bottle down before turning on his heel and smiling seductively at the fourth year Hufflepuff who stood beside him.

A shy smile grazed her lips.

And that's how Sirius Black, once again, became a player. Toying with innocent girls delicate feelings.
