Y/N POV

Scar and I arrive at the train station. I pull my hood up and purchase our tickets. We go to the loading area.

"So, Scar. Are you excited to see your people again?" I ask, slightly turning my head to look at Scar.

"Kind of. I honestly didn't think there was anyone left. When I read that there were survivors in the files you gave me...I felt...happy. My parents and brother are still gone...but...a few people are still alive. In the file it said around twenty escaped. I'm not sure if that number is still accurate but...as along as there are a few survivors. I'll be content," Scar replies, a small smile on his face.

I hum in acknowledgement.

"In the file, it said you were aquatinted with the survivors. Is that true?" Scar asks.

I nod and reply,
"I found a way to escape but only a few people could go through before the scientists found out. I quickly gathered as many Ishvalans as I could and sent them through the escape route. I immediately sealed it off when the last one went through. I didn't want the scientists and my Biological Father and Grandfather to find out...that was ten years ago, though..."

"Did you escape too?" Scar asks.

I shake my head and explain,
"No. The only way to seal up the exit was on the inside of the building. So, I stayed behind and sealed up the exit."

Scar looks at me.

"What?" I ask, confused.

Scar then awkwardly pats my head.

"What...are you doing?" I ask.

"You did a good thing," Scar says, nonchalantly.

Our train then arrives. We hop on and find a seat. I get the window seat.

"How long will the train ride be?" Scar asks.

"A little over five hours," I reply, nonchalantly.

Scar nods in acknowledgment.

"If you get hungry or thirsty, I brought a few bottles of water and some snacks," I tell Scar.

He nods and takes out his phone.

I turn my head and look out the window.

My phone rings.

Huh...?

I take out my phone and see that Greed is calling me.

I hit answer.

"Hello?" I say into the phone.

"What's up? I just wanted to talk, by the way, so I called you," I hear Greed say over the phone.

"Nothing much...I'm on a train," I reply into the phone.

"What do you mean by 'nothing much'? It sounds like something happened," I hear Greed say over the phone with concern.

"That's strange...when you do that...when you show concern...it doesn't fit your character..." I whisper to myself, not realizing I said it out loud and into the phone.

"That's because of Ling Yao. He's a really handsome, kind, caring, bubbly person. Oh, and did I mention handsome," Greed answers, sounding different, sounding...playful.

"Huh...you sound like a completely different person..." I comment.

"Because this Ling Yao, call me Ling! It's great talking to you, Clem, without Greed trying to drag me back," Ling exclaims cheerfully.
