Touya POV

Clem...

Flashback

This has to be one of my lowest points...

I...I HATE ENDEAVOR!!!

WHY WON'T MY SUFFERING JUST END ALREADY!

What's the point of it all anyway...?

We'll all just keep suffering...he'll just continue...this hell...

"What's your name?"

Huh?

I look up and see a little girl, who kind of looks like a cartoon character, kneeling down in front of me with her head slightly tilted to the side.

Who...is she?

My eyes widen but soon go back to normal and I answer, my voice coming out small and meek,
"Touya..."

The girl then asks,
"Why are you crying?"

I almost don't answer. I think she's pitying me...but...she looks...like she understands my pain...and...really wants to truly help me...

It's like she's...an angel of sorts...

I then let the tears fall again, my legs to my chest, hiding my face, I mumble,
"...the screaming...it won't stop...I want it to stop...it hurts...damn fire bastard...stupid father...stupid quirk..."

The girl then wraps her arms around me. I see that she's now sitting beside me...her arms wrapped around me...

I tense up.

Hug...she's...hugging me...I feel...warmth...comfort...

I relax and lean into the hug.

I then ask in a whisper,
"Do you get along with your parents?"

"No...they were very...abusive...and it was pretty terrible...I don't like talking about it...but! Things better...I met good people...I'm doing better now," She replies, stumbling a bit at first.

"That's nice...you found somewhere where you belong...I don't belong anywhere...I should just die already..." I mumble.

I then feel the girl unwrap her arms and stand up.

Did...did I do something wrong? Is she scared? Disappointed?

The girl then turns to me, bending over and holding out her hand to me,
"How about I introduce you! That way we can both have a good place we belong!"

Huh...?

I just look at her for a moment.

She...she's...she's going to help me...

I then smile. I smile a genuine smile. A type of smile that I'm not used to...
