six months later-‪ june 14th‬ 2020

harrison has taken me up the top of this small mountain today. it's a three hour hike up and another three back down again. while we tramp and listen to music we enjoy being in the bush and away from the water for a bit.

‪at 12pm we reach the top. we find a place to chuck our bags then we get some pictures of us together. "naw cute" i say one he puts down his phone from taking a couple of selfies of us. i walk back over to our bags with harrison following and i grab my brink bottle. turning back around, harrison is right behind me and his arms fall around my shoulders. "elyse" he starts off saying and i look at him with a smile and a bit of confusion. "i just want to say how much i have loved life since ive been with you. you are the most honest, trustworthy and kindest person i have ever met in my whole life. you're smile brightens up every room you walk into and it makes me smile everyone i see it. i love you so much el, you've heard me say that hundreds of times now but i want to continue saying that. elyse, will you marry me?" he asks and pops down on one knee and opens a box which holds a beautiful ring. i chuck my drink bottle down and nod rapidly. he gets off his knee and pulls me into a bone crushing tight hug. "yes yes yes" i say into his chest and he chuckles. after a few seconds he pulls away and grabs a hold of his hand where he slips a beautiful diamond ring on my finger. "i love you elyse. i can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you" he says and kisses me. "i love you more. i'm so excited for the future" i say and i kiss him.‬

the rest of the hike i'm buzzing about how he just proposed to me. once we reach the bottom he tells me that maxi knows he was going to propose to me as they went ring shopping together. "harrison, thank you" i say and put my hand on his knee as he drives back to the apartments.
