Chapter 35 : End. VIII - Kisaragi Village

"Let go of him!" Nami shouted, full of anger on her voice. She was shaking off the numb feeling caused by what Kabuto had spread through the air around them. She didn't know she was sending help signals towards her team in that state. She even forgot about that jutsu that will send help for her teammates and friends. Her mind was in jumbles, panicking, scared, and angry. As much as possible, she didn’t want Chi close to Kabuto. What if Kabuto succeeded? What if Chi died? She’ll see another person die. She didn’t want that anymore. She even promised to Iki that she’ll look out for her son if he does something stupid.

On the other hand, Kabuto was amazed of Nami.

He successfully used a jutsu at her and Chi which will paralyze them on where they are in a matter of seconds, but still, she can move, even if barely. Chi was slumped on his shoulders, paralyzed. The only part he can move was his face. While Nami was in front of them, kneeling, fighting the paralyzation off, a good number of men around her led by none other than, Akito, were watching her. They were waiting for Kabuto’s command to attack her. Akito was even itching to kill her.

He laughed maniacally, making all of them stop and watch him. "You're a lot stronger than I thought. Maybe that's why Lord Orochimaru wanted you and your eyes." He said and after a moment of silence, "Makes me want to kill you." After that, Kabuto threw a needle at her that buried itself on her chest. Nami pulled out the little needle from her chest, not wasting a second, thinking it was a poison. Pain started spreading through her body and her eyesight blurred until it turned black.

But the thing is, she wasn't unconscious. Her eyesight was gone.

Still, she can sense the people around her. Her ears were still activated. The pain was spreading through her body like a wild fire but she could bear with the pain, it wasn’t much compared to the pain she felt when she was having one of her attacks.

Someone had yanked her hair back and pushed her to the ground. “You can have her.” She heard Kabuto and his footsteps, Kabuto walking away with Chi.

“Nami!” She heard Chi call out her name whilst being kicked and punched by the men around her. Blood had started coming out from her nose and mouth caused by the continuous impacts. Her hair was yanked back again, this time with force. It was this time that she heard a familiar voice and silently sighed in relief. She was slammed against a hard object, the tree’s trunk.  Still, her face wore no emotions.

“What did I tell you? I’ll kill you the next time I see you.” Akito told her. She tried to locate where Akito’s face was, and like last time, had spit on it.

“You bitch!” Akito roared and slapped her again, hard.

“Are you finished?” She asked in a monotonous voice that made all of them pause, staring at her. “I was asking...” She breathed, cracking her neck, a smirk forming on her bruised face. “..If you are finish. But if you don’t answer me then I guess you are.”

She suddenly disappeared on where she is cornered and appeared on the tree’s branch. She had an ominous aura surrounding her. Her left face was covered by her shaded orange hair. Her right eye looked like it was glowing as she looked down on the enemies, even though she can’t see them.

“Akito’s mine guys.” She said loudly, a person landed beside her and gave something to her which she ate. “Thanks Mami.” She murmured and after a few seconds, she stood straight, feeling normal again. The paralyzation, now gone. It was a medicine that Mami brought with her to remove the paralyzing jutsu on her.

She had heard her team’s voices from a distance. She had heard them fighting Kabuto and that they successfully got Chi from that four-eyed freak. From that, she was thankful and it gave her energy.
