Nami leaned at the sink, staring on her reflection at the mirror. She had cut her hair short, it wasn’t long anymore. It now ended on her shoulders. But that wasn’t the thing that was bothering her the most.

She was staring at her eyes.

Her orange eyes were gone and it was replaced by an onyx-colored left eye and a whitish-colored right eye. But still, her eyesight was clear. Then her orange hair turned to black. She didn’t feel anything weird by this sudden transformation of her eyes and hair. It felt weird yet it felt normal. She stared down at the injection, resting on the sink that Tsunade had given her. She picked it up and injected it at herself. She flinched a little as she felt the liquid inside the injection entering her system and in a matter of seconds, her eyes turned to their old colors. Soon, she was staring at her supposed normal eyes. She had put her weapon pouch on her waist and her kunai, holster on her leg. Nami had breathed in and walked outside, jogging towards the Hokage’s office.

It had been two weeks after they had arrived from the Kisaragi Village. They had a mini-meeting after reporting to the fifth Hokage everything that happened.

“Thanks for the treat, Kakashi-sensei.” Nami had grinned at her sensei who sighed at her. She was the last to go home. Sakura went home after a bowl and complained about things that happened that she needed a beauty rest. Sasuke had soon followed and went home. After an hour, Naruto yawned and said he will go home and sleep. Nami had been served another one of her favorite ramen before she stopped eating.

“How was the mission for you?” Kakashi asked.

“It was cool.” She answered and looked at Kakashi, smiling. “It was really fun having that mission with the team, not the C-D class missions but the missions that involve kicking some ass. Oh! Don’t take it the wrong way sensei but I like doing the C-D Class missions. It’s fun because you can goof around on that kind of missions.”

“Oh?” Kakashi murmured, staring back at his student. “But you were holding back, aren’t you?”

Nami’s eyes widened for a second. So Kakashi-sensei had noticed that? No wonder he can. He’s a strong ninja after all. A copycat ninja too. There’s nothing that can escape that analyzing eyes of his.

“Yeah. A bit.” Nami laughed, rubbing the back of her head. “I don’t want them to see how strong I really am right now, especially Sasuke. He’s going to feel more inferior to others. And besides, I really can’t be my best right now because of this.” She pointed at her chest. “This is one of the things that hold me back. It sucks when I go overboard and have attacks so I want to hurry up the transplant so I could be good as new. And another thing is that Lady Tsunade had made me a Genin again.”

“Aren’t you worried that you might die while having a transplant?” Kakashi raised his eyebrows at her. Deep inside, he is a bit worried for his student. She’s his student after all. He’s not one to say it out loud but he is a bit protective when it comes to his students.

“Hn. No way. If I die, there will be no one to stop Sasuke and Naruto’s endless bickering. No one will stop Sakura’s endless fan girling on Sasuke. I can’t die yet.”

Both of them turned their heads when an Anbu jumped behind them.

“Kakashi-san, the Hokage called for you.”

Kakashi nodded and stood up.

“Guess I’ll be going then, Nami. Glad I have a student that could keep them together.” Kakashi said and disappeared with a puff of smoke. Nami grinned and went back to her house to rest.
