Changbin - Feelings and Misunderstandings

You were at school in class. You honestly weren't paying attention to what was said, not even one bit. All that was on your mind right now was your relationship with Changbin. You hadn't seen him in a while, and he hadn't even sent you one text. It was kind of understandable as he was busy promoting, but you still had this hope that he would've sent you a goodnight text or something along those lines. But he hadn't.

You started thinking about the reasons as to why he hadn't texted you. Had he become tired of you? Did he even love you anymore? After all, the last time you were together he did seem kind of distant. But you thought maybe that was just because because of his personality.

You remembered one of the first things your best friend had talked to you about when the two of you first got together was how the two of you were incredibly similar in so many ways. She thought you wouldn't last since you were so similar. She said you would bore each other as there wasn't really anything new to explore about each other. She called the two of you the "mirror - couple" as you were basically just the same person in different genders.

At first you couldn't really see the similarities between you. But when she stated her reason as to why you were so similar, you kind of got "shocked". First of all you both wore dark clothes which wasn't a big deal. Other things she said was that you were both incredibly driven and passionate which again wasn't a problem.

What was a problem was that both of you carried a kind of dark aura and weren't really good at expressing your feelings towards one another. For example you would say something really blunt without any bad intentions, and then later realize how mean your statement was and really regret it. You would then proceed to blame yourself, shut yourself in and apologise to the person you were mean to. Even though you absolutely hated showing your vulnerable side.

On the other side you had showed Changbin your cute side, because just like Changbin you had your cute side, but Changbin was the only person that you dared show that side to. Maybe it was because he was in the same kind of "scenario" as you were. You didn't want people to see you as incompetent or childish. You wanted to be taken seriously when needed. Thinking about it you realised that except from when you confessed to each other, you and Changbin had never really had a serious talk.

The bell rung telling you that class was dismissed. You were going home alone today, just like you had every day that week. You plugged in your earphones blasting some 3Racha songs as you missed Changbin's voice. You mumbled along to his rap in "Matryoshka" slightly bopping your head. You had barely passed the school gate when someone tapped your shoulder.

You turned around to stand face to face with Changbin. Your eyes went wide. What was he suddenly doing here? Did he somehow read your mind and figured out you missed him? When you looked at him you saw he looked very serious. Was he going to break up with you? Your heart started beating faster than it ever had before.

"Y/n." He said searching for your eyes that now were glued to the ground. "Yeah?" You said not looking away from the ground. "We need to talk." He said very calmly, and that bothered you. If he was going to break up he seemed way too calm for your liking, and it hurt. It was like he already was over you. "Let's go to the café." He said before turning around and walking in the direction of said café.

He didn't even need to say which café. You already knew exactly which one he meant. It was the café of your first date. It was a very cozy café, with very aesthetic interior. It was like the café was dragged out of an instagram post. It was where your favourite memory was made, but it would maybe become the place of your worst memory in a couple of minutes.

The sun was out, but the breeze was cold. You looked at his back, thinking that this might be the last time you'll ever see it. He didn't even glance back at you once, and for every step closer you took to the café, the more your body started trembling.

You had arrived in front of the café and Changbin went inside without hesitation. You just followed him like a lost puppy. You sat down in front of a table, facing each other. You ordered your favourite drink and started fumbling with your thumbs beneath the table.

Changbin knew your habits and saw that you were nervous. "Y/n, look at me." You put your arms on the table looking at him. He grabbed your hands and stroked them to reassure you. He knew that it used to always reassure you in the past. But today was different, it only made you more conscious of his attitude. He was treating you like glass, which he had never done before. This had to mean that he was going to drop a bomb on you afterwards.

"Tell me, honestly. Do you still love me? Cause I really need you by my side, but it doesn't seem like you want to be there." He said clearly nervous. He scratched the back of his neck while looking at the table and retracting his hands. You just sat there frozen. Of course you did, why would he think you didn't? Since you were still quiet he started speaking again. "It's okay if you don't, just tell me so I can try to move on." Grabbing his hands you said " You've got it all wrong! I love you so much! I thought YOU were tired of ME because you acted so distant."

"Wait, really? Cause I thought YOU were tired of ME because you acted so distant." It made you both chuckle a little. All the uneasiness from before had now completely disappeared. "Its kind of stupid how all of this happened because neither of us just sent a text asking how the other was doing. If we did that all of this could've been prevented." He said standing up to sit beside you, before he kissed your cheek.

"Yeah, but I am kind of glad it happened. Cause now I know that I need to express my feelings towards you more, so you will know how much I love you. Even though I hate talking about feelings and expressing them, I know now that I need to do it since you can't read my mind. But I will do that if that means I get to keep you and make you happy." You said before leaning in for a gentle kiss.

You both smiled into the kiss. It was very short and sweet. Soon after the both of you left the café, holding hands, acting like all the PDA couples you used to hate. You stopped Changbin from walking any further and made him face you. "Changbin, earlier when I thought you were going to break up with me, I started thinking about how much you mean to me. You are absolutely stunning, funny and caring, and I am absolutely not ready to let you go."

By now you had basically buried your face in his chest clenching onto his t-shirt as you hugged him. "Don't worry Y/n, I won't leave you. Do you know why? Because I love you." He said and nuzzled his head into the crook of your neck while stroking your back. "I love you too."
