In this world everyone had a soulmate. It seemed like everyone had found the one they wanted to be with. You did have someone you really wanted to be with, but you were terrified by what his response would be and therefore never confessed. You just didn't have the guts to do it. Especially since he was really popular and literally everyone knew who he was. Your crush was none other than Lee Felix.
Thinking about him made you cough up petals once again, in the middle of class. You would think people saw it as normal by now, but since apparently almost no one except you were in a one sided love, everyone looked weirdly at you. You were used to it and just ignored it, and collected the petals before throwing them in the bin. As you were on your way back to your seat, the bell rang. You grabbed your stuff and went outside for lunch in a place no one would bother you and mock or pity your one sided love.
You laid out a blanket to sit on, while humming a song and opening your lunch box. You were about to take a bite when you saw Felix not too far from where you were sitting. He started walking towards you making you cough up loads. You tried turning around so he wouldn't see, but with the amount you were coughing up it was basically impossible to hide. He sat down joining you on your blanket. "Hi Y/n. You okay there?" He asked lightly hitting your back out of consideration. "Yeah, I am fine." You said, the coughing finally stopping a little.
"Are you in a one sided love huh? Does it hurt?" All you could think of was why he asked the question like that. Had he found his soulmate? Thinking about it you had never really seem him coughing up petals, and since he asked if it hurts that implies that he doesn't know the feeling. Must be nice to be him, basically every girl wants him, you thought. "Nothing I can't handle." You said, taking a bite of your lunch. "I'm assuming you have found your soulmate?"
"Actually, I haven't. I have someone I am interested in, but it doesn't seem like she is into me." Great you thought. He likes another girl, that doesn't even like him back. So you can't be happy with the person you like, and he can't be happy either because the person he likes doesn't like him back. Thinking about it you were extremely surprised there was someone that didn't fall for this adorable boy sitting in front of you. "Why would you ask if it hurts If you also cough up petals? And by the way, you shouldn't assume. You should ask her! What if the pain is all for nothing!"
He shifted more towards you. "Firstly, I asked because when I cough up petals it doesn't really hurt for me, so I just wanted to see if you're okay. And you're right I should ask her." He said and grabbed your hand. You just looked at him weirdly surprised by his action. "Y/n, this is sudden, but as you said I shouldn't assume, but actually ask and see what happens. So Y/n, I really like you. We have been friends for quite a while now, and it's been fun. But I want us to be something more. So will you do me the honour and become my girlfriend?"
You were shocked and your mouth was now open and your eyebrows were lifted. All this time he liked you, and you huet for ages because both of you were scared. He closed your mouth finding your shocked expression funny. "Yes! Yes I'll be your girlfriend!" He wasted no time and immediately kissed you passionately. You immediately responded. When you after some time needed air you pulled apart and intertwined your hands. Never again would you cough up petals.
