Percy fidgeted with his fingers as he walked into the coffee shop.

He knew she would be there, in her usual corner, with her gray eyes engrossed in her book about architecture.

He didn't know her name, but she looked like she would have a rare one. Blonde, princess curls with gray eyes didn't really match something like Emily.

Percy had never spoken to her, but sometimes when he was staring, she would glance up and smirk at him, like she knew what he was thinking. Then she would go back to her book. Percy hated his life, but also loved it a bit.

Today was the day, though. The sun was shining as Percy walked from his apartment to the coffee shop. No more 'pretending to be studying'. Today, he would talk to her. He burst through the door, new-found confidence seeping through his bones, but it wavered when he saw her. She was wearing an oversized sweater, her hair was down, and she was biting her lip. Percy blushed instantly.

He shuffled over to his usual table, then slapped his forehead. There was no way he'd be able to get out a full sentence if she kept doing that. Maybe if he just-

"Hey cutie," a voice said. Percy snapped his head up, hoping it was the girl with all his heart, but it wasn't. It was some other girl, with long, black hair, tons of makeup, and big blue eyes. His girl never wore makeup. He cursed himself for calling her his.

Percy didn't even try to hide his devastation, but the girl didn't seem to care. She slid in to the seat next to his, batting her eyes furiously. He felt uncomfortable.

"I'm Drew...and I've never seen eyes as green as yours," she said slowly, leaning in to him. Percy scooted back. "And your hair," she giggled.

"My hair isn't green," he said stupidly. She laughed.

"No, silly. It's just...I just wanna run my hands through-"

"Hey."

Both Percy and Drew looked up to see...it was her! He started grinning from ear to ear, but her gray eyes were flickering angrily and her arms were crossed.

"You're obviously not winning him over," she pointed out to Drew.

"Who are you?" Drew growled, crossing her own arms.

"Annabeth." Percy burned the name into his memory. It suited her perfectly...and he wasn't sure if it was deja vu or something, but he felt like he remembered that name from somewhere. "And you're annoying him."

"It's true," Percy piped in. When both girls looked at him, he blushed. "Um, sorry." Drew glared at Annabeth, then got up and sauntered away. He looked at his dream girl, a small smirk on his face though he knew was red. "Jealous?"

She scoffed, but sat beside him. "I don't get jealous."

"Then explain that little show."

"It wasn't a-"

"It was! And you caused it."

Annabeth glared up at Percy, and a million butterflies erupted in his stomach. She sighed.

"Well, it's just...You come in here almost everyday, and you look at me. You're too nervous to talk to me, and now there's another girl coming to take you away? The truth is, every girl dreams of meeting a boy in a coffee shop, and well...I thought you were my coffee shop boy." She looked up at him, gray eyes wide and anxious. He smiled.

"So...you've noticed?"

Annabeth laughed and Percy—Percy didn't think he'd ever heard anything better.

"You're an idiot," she decided.

"I'm also a Percy," he added. "But you can call me anything you want." Annabeth's lip twerked up.

"Can you just kiss me already?" she whined. "I've been waiting since the first day when you tripped and spilled your coffee for looking at me." Percy blushed, but he cupped her face with his hands.

"I bet you didn't think your coffee shop boy would be this clumsy."

"I also didn't know he would take this long to kiss me," Annabeth said, then slowly leaned in. Percy met her in the middle, and yeah, millions of fireworks went off. And, yeah, this lead to a date. And by the second date, they were dating. And, yeah, later they would bring their kids to the coffee shop and smile at each other, remembering how Percy would always be Annabeth's coffee shop boy.
