The boys liked to mess around where ever they went.

Jack and Jonah went to the gym every now and then, which most would agree is not the best place for horseplay.

Especially in Jack's case.

—————

While Jonah was bench pressing, Jack decided to run the treadmill.

He started low at about 4, but eventually got faster.

Thinking it would be funny, he calls out to Jonah.

"Hey look how fast I can go Jo", he says.

Jonah sits up and lets out sigh, wiping sweat from his forehead.

"Okay fine, but please be careful", he says leaning forward.

Jack nods, and looks back towards the treadmill.

He goes faster and faster, until he's running at at one of the highest speeds.

"Jack slow down", Jonah says standing up with a worrisome tone.

Jack speeds it up, but accidentally loses his balance.

He goes flying backwards and hits his head on some equipment behind him.

"Oh my god", Jonah says running over to him.

"Hey, hey, hey, are you okay?", Jonah asks putting one hand on Jack's shoulder, and the other on the back of his head.

"Y-Yeah. I just hit my head. It hurts", Jack says with a wince.

"Let's go home", Jonah says, standing up to turn the treadmill off.

Jonah pulls Jack up, sending a throbbing sensation through his head.

"Ow, ow", Jack says putting a hand on his forehead.

"We just have to make it to the car", Jonah says reassuringly.

Jack keeps walking, trying to focus on anything but his headache.

Eventually, they make it to the car, and Jack plops down into his seat.

"You alright bud?", Jonah asks before beginning to drive.

Jack responds with a groan, causing Jonah to chuckle.

He starts up the car, and begins the trip home.

The place, where it would all go wrong.

They just didn't know it yet.

Jack's POV

As we arrive home, I begin to feel a little light headed and nauseous, but I pass it off as a side effect of the headache.

Jonah turns off the car in the driveway, and peers over at me.

"You're sure that you're okay", he says.
