Things that keep you sane, keep you alive, give you happiness.

You have them until you don't, that's just how it works.

But it doesn't make it any easier to lose them.

One day something good, led to something bad.

In an instant, their whole life was flipped upside down.

But all you can do is hope.

Jack's POV

Why is it so hard to tell someone how you feel?

Every time I see him, it feels like my heart races, and my face burns.

Zach, the one guy I love.

I want to ask him out so badly, but we're in a band.

If he rejects me, I'd still have to see him every day, which would be worse than awkward.

I mean Zach is gay and single, but I've been friends with him for so long.

I don't want to destroy our friendship with three words.

It's so hard to just get some balls and ask him out.

But why?

Zach's POV

Uhh, I can't take my eyes off him.

I think he likes me too, but how would I know.

I can't just flat out ask him, and is Jack even gay?

I just hope that if he does like me, he makes the first move.

Actually, you know what.

I'm gonna do it.

I'm gonna tell Jack how I feel.

I can't be quiet any longer.

And if he says no, I'll just tell him it was a joke or prank or something, right?

Okay, I need to stop overthinking this.

But I can't help it.

I mean, I love him, and he doesn't even know it.

General POV

Zach walks into the hallway towards Jack's bedroom.

As he comes to the door, his hand touches the knob.

It's now or never.

Zach opens the door, finding Jack laying on his bed, his phone in hand.

"Hey, what's up", Jack says setting his phone down.

Zach noticed how Jack's face was blushing ever so subtly, and he was twiddling his thumbs.

It made him smile at how nervous Jack was getting.
