A few hours later...

The boys were sitting around Zach in the hard cold chairs, hoping that he would wake up.

Zach's eyes suddenly flutter open, as he looks around confused and disoriented.

"Guys", Jack says looking at Zach.

The boys all look up to see Zach's head moving back and forth.

Corbyn runs out to the hallway, swinging open the door.

"We need a doctor", he yells.

Jonah goes over to Zach and kneels by the side of his bed.

"Hey bud, it's Jonah. You were in an accident", he simply says.

"Jonah?", Zach says.

"Yeah", Jonah says with a smile.

"I don't know you", Zach says sitting up.

He clenches his head in pain, scooting back down to a laying position.

Jonah's face falls along with everyone else's.

Jack can't help but cry as the doctor walks in.

He looks around the room at the boys, realizing that it must not be good.

"Excuse me", the doctor says scooting past Jonah.

Jonah moves out of the way as the doctor kneels next to Zach.

"Can you tell me your name?", the doctor asks.

Zach furrows his brows for a second before remembering.

"Zach", he replies.

Everyone lets out a small sigh of relief, knowing that he at least knows his name.

"And when's your birthday Zach?", he asks.

"May 27", he quickly responds.

"What year?", the doctor adds.

Zach thinks for a second, moving his mouth trying to form an answer.

"I can't remember", he eventually says.

"That's okay", the doctor reassured him.

"Do you remember what happened?", the doctor asks.

"No", Zach replies looking at his arm cast and everyone else in the room.

"Well, you were in an accident Zach. I think you have a slight case of amnesia. You remember any of them?", he asks pointing to the rest of the boys.

Zach shakes his head.

"Sorry", he says.

"Are you in any pain?", the doctor asks.

"Just my head", Zach says.

The doctor stands up and faces the boys.

"Since he can remember small things like his name and birthday, his memory is just damaged, but it's not completely gone. We just have to wait it out", the doctor says with an apologetic expression.

"Okay. Thank you", Jonah says.

Jonah holds Jack, telling him it would be okay.

"What if I drove? Then Zach wouldn't be in the hospital. I should've drove", Jack says sobbing.

"Do not blame yourself. The person in the truck was drunk, and you did nothing wrong. Calm down", Jonah reassures him.

Jack doesn't say anything else, to exhausted to do so.

The boys just sit there, telling Zach that their his bandmates, that he's a great singer, that he was in an accident, and how he's friends with everyone.

All they wanted was for him to remember something other than his name and birthday.

But Jack wanted Zach to remember him.

Remember the kiss, and their love for each other.

But he couldn't.

A few hours later...

Jonah, Daniel and Corbyn leave to get food, after Jack asked for some time alone with Zach.

They were hesitant at first, but agreed.

When the boys leave the room, Jack looks at Zach.

"There's one more thing you forgot", he tells Zach.

"What", Zach asks.

"Us. Right before the crash, you asked me out and I said yes", Jack admits.

"Oh, so were like dating", Zach asks confused.

"Yeah, but the rest of the boys don't know", Jack says.

"Okay. Well I'm really sorry I can't remember", Zach says.

"It's not your fault", Jack says, holding back tears.

It's awkward silence for a few seconds, before Zach breaks it with a question.

"So I know it's hard to talk about, but can you tell me what happened in the accident. I mean like right before it", Zach asks.

Jack nods.

"Well I pulled over, because me and you had a thing earlier. You asked me out the first time before we left, and I freaked out and walked out of the room. Anyways, the second time I said I'd go out with you. And then I um, told you I loved you", Jack says.

It's almost like a switch clicked in Zach's head.

He remembered everything.

Jack, his bandmates, the events before the crash, his career, his family, and all of the above.

"Oh my god I remember", Zach says.

"What", Jack asks confused.

But Zach pulls him in, and puts his lips on Jack's.

"I remember all of it", he says quietly.

As Zach lays another kiss on Jack, the rest of the boys walk in.

They both pull away quickly, shocked and embarrassed.

"Jonah, you owe me 20 bucks", Daniel says with a smirk.

Zach can't help but let out a laugh, wiping his lips.

Jonah pulls a twenty out of his pocket, reluctantly putting it in Daniel's hand.

He goes over to Zach and hugs him, along with the rest of the boys.

When the hug finally ends, Jack looks at Daniel.

"How did you know?", he asks gaining everyone else's attention.

"It was kind of obvious that y'all liked each other", Corbyn says.

"Yeah, it was honestly just a matter of time", Jonah says.

"But don't worry, we're totally cool with it. You both deserve to be happy", Jonah adds.

"Thanks", Zach says.

"Yeah, thanks", Jack says.

"Good to have you back bud", Daniel says to Zach.

"It's even better to be back", Zach says.
