Backstory: Verner is a native of Remnant and his start in life was rather depressing. His father was killed in a robbery and his brother was murdered by a drunk in a bar fight. He grew up with his mother comparing him to his brother, this caused his adequacy issues that we saw in the last chapter. He somehow pulled his way through university and went to the police academy. He served there for two years before he was promoted to second lieutenant and he was transferred to the supply department. The Imperium then landed on the planet and he was transferred to the Imperium's supply department and that is where he enters the story.
