Heresy in a village

Somewhere, on the northern coast of Vacuo, a small submarine surfaces in the dead of night. It deploys a small rubber raft containing six Naval Infantrymen. The six Naval Infantrymen are there to either capture or assassinate a local official. The local official in question is the mayor of a small village and he is suspected of heresy. They would have sent Inquisitorial troops but it wasn't deemed necessary. The six Naval Infantrymen approach the village, only to see that it is entrenched with barbed wire and other uncomfortable obstacles. There is also a good deal of militiamen, one hundred of them. They aren't that well armed or armored but they are still a threat. The six Naval Infantrymen radio to headquarters and brief them on the situation.

Naval Infantry captain: Sir, we are not able to complete our mission.

Colonel Shydler: Why not?

Naval Infantry captain: Sir, the village is surrounded by defenses and there are troops inside. It seems that the heresy has taken root.

Colonel Shydler: What would you recommend?

Naval Infantry captain: Sir, I would recommend that we use fighter bombers to level the defenses and then send in Inquisitorial stormtroopers supported by armor.

Colonel Shydler: I will put in the request with the high command. Meanwhile, perform recon but only engage if necessary, I don't want to lose a Naval Infantry squad.

The Colonel submits his request and before the sun rises it is on the desk of Lord Inquisitor General Moss.

Moss: (in head) Damn, the boss is going to want to hear about this.

As soon as YN wakes up an adjunct walks into his room with a letter and a phone on a platter. YN reads the letter and he immediately picks up the phone and calls Moss.

YN: What is the situation?

Moss: We've got heresy, your majesty.

YN: Where?

Moss: A small village near the coast of Vacuo. It is ten miles from the fortress of Nektam.

YN: Deploy the forty-fifth guards rifle regiment along with combat engineers and the twelfth armored assault company from Nektam. Have them set up a quarter mile from the village and surround the village with a defensive perimeter. But tell them to wait for me before attacking.

Moss: Consider it done your majesty.

YN equips his armor and his weapons and boards a thunderhawk and sets off for the village.

Meanwhile with Colonel Shydler.

Colonel Shydler: Captain, the boss is coming to personally lead the assault.

Naval Infantry captain: Sir, General Vincent is coming?

Colonel Shydler: Captain, when I say the boss, I mean the boss.

Naval Infantry captain: Lord Inquisitor General Moss?

Colonel Shydler: Captain, the Emperor is coming.

Naval Infantry captain: Nice joke sir.

Colonel Shydler: Captain, I am not joking, the Emperor is coming to lead the assault personally.

The Naval Infantry captain then hangs up the phone and faints.

At that moment the thunderhawk lands and YN gets out and a Commissar runs up to him and bows.

Commissar: Your majesty, my name is Commissar Diatlov, I am in charge of this unit and I formally relinquish command to you.

YN: Commissar Diatlov, I have no desire to take your command from you, I merely want to participate in the battle.

Commissar Diatlov: We are awaiting your order to attack.

YN: It's your command, you give the order.

Commissar Diatlov smiles and fires a green flare into the sky and the troops begin to advance.
Not all of the troops know that YN has joined them, so when they see their Emperor marching in front of them with is electro sword drawn and the Imperial banner on his back, flowing like a cape, it boosts their morale and frightens the defenders.

The Leman Russ tanks fire their guns, blowing apart the defenses and setting fires inside the village. Suddenly, from some building, a stubber opens up on the advancing infantry and cuts them down. YN sees this and crouches in front of the injured infantry providing some cover so medics can reach them. He then draws his heavy bolt pistol and fires a single round into the building causing it to explode in a shower of debris. When the injured men are taken away YN gets up and charges through a building. When I say he charged through a building, I mean it in the most literal sense. He body slams his way through a wall, kills everything inside and then he breaks down another wall before charging out of the building through another wall.

The fighting lasts about a half hour and then, the captured heretics are forced to dig a large pit in the center of the village and they are forced inside. At that moment, the combat engineers fire their flamethrowers into the pit and they burn the heretics.

YN then leaves Commissar Diatlov to clean up the mess since he is going back to the White Palace, he has to find a gift for Speer. After all, it is his birthday soon.
