Jin ♡ Merman | Part 2

I said I wouldn't make a part 2 for this but someone wanted a part 2 and I said I'd consider it. This is a long imagine my dudes so hang in there.
Also since I had to go on a break you guys might not remember the first merman Jin imagine very well so you might have to go back and reread it. I usually like to write any extra parts in order rather than keeping the parts separate so everyone's memory of the story is fresh, but given the circumstances I had to separate them.

It had been three days since Jin went to "smooth things over with his parents" and I'm starting to get worried.

What if they banished him from land or something?

What if they went too far and locked him up in a dungeon?!?!

A knock on my front door made me jump.
I scrambled to answer the door. When I opened it Jin stood there with a pleasant smile on his face.

"JIN!" I shrieked and latched onto him, hugging him as tightly as I could.
"Hey princess."
"Come in. Tell me everything. I've been so worried."

I pulled him over to the couch and we took a seat.

"So, how did it go?"
"They were... upset that I ran away... or swam away." He started laughing, sounding like windshield wipers.
I sighed at the lame joke but laughed at his laugh.
Once he composed himself he continued.
"They eventually calmed down and I told them I met you. They were a little iffy about you being a human but they want to meet you."
"What?" I asked in disbelief.
"Yep." He reaches in his pocket and pulled out a necklace with a few peach colored pearls on it.
"Woah." I gawked at the necklace. "Is this the magic necklace?"
"Yes this is the magic necklace." Jin laughed.
"Are we going now?"
"Yes, if you want to."
"I do! Oh my gosh I'm nervous but excited."
"You wanna know the cool thing about this?"
"What?"
"Whenever you put it on you get to see what color your tail is and what it looks like. It's different for everyone."
"Really?!" I asked in amazement.
He nodded.

I'm probably acting like a child right now but I'm about to live my dream.

I change into a swimsuit and run back into the living room.

"Wah~ you're so pretty."
"No I'm not." I shook my head.
"Yes you are! And don't think about arguing with me because you'll lose."
I sigh and decide not to say anything.
"Good. Now come on."

Jin and I leave my house and make our way to the beach. We walk into the water and I see Jin's tail appear.

"Here." He held the necklace up. "Put it on."
I carefully slipped on the necklace. I stared at my legs and slowly watched them form into a beautiful tail. It was a gorgeous peachy color with gold flecks in it that fanned out largely at the bottom.

"Woah Y/n you're stunning."
"I literally can't believe what I'm seeing right now."
"I know. You're here with a handsome merman prince it's hard to believe."
"Oh my gosh shut up." I chuckled and slapped his shoulder playfully. "That's not what I was talking about."
"I know."
"I'm suddenly so nervous."
"It'll be okay. My parents are pretty laid back believe it or not."
"Really?" I asked.
He nodded, smiling cutely.
"Okay." I let out a deep breath. "I suppose we should go."
"You're right. Follow me." He smiled and disappeared underwater.
I followed behind him.

I had to stop for a moment because I could see so clearly underwater. Jin stopped and turned around. I must have looked funny because he laughed at me.

"I'm sorry I'm just surprised." I stopped and covered my mouth.

Did I just talk underwater?!

"You're so cute." Jin chuckled. "Come here." He held his hand out for me to take it.

I reached out and grabbed his hand. We started swimming deeper into the ocean. It was weird at first but I eventually got the hang of it.
