The house was quiet once we all got back from Ray's Graduation. It's been three days since I spent more than three seconds in her presence, but Cole begged me to go with him and the guys to watch her walk. He told me she was going to be disappointed because her mom called and told him she couldn't make it in time.
Ray didn't seem upset about it, but she couldn't fool me. I saw her struggle when Cole told her she wasn't coming. I left about ten minutes after I watched her collect her diploma and found the nearest bar. I want her so bad, but I know I shouldn't. I can't do that to Cole, and I sure as hell can't do that to Ray.
She doesn't want my kind of shit. I don't fuck around with relationships like everyone else does. Only one way I do things and Ray isn't cut out for it. She's too pure and innocent.
I hear my phone chime, so I pull it out of my pocket and see a text from Cole.

Seeing the list, I grab the beer bottle and chug the rest, leaving twenty on the bar. I shouldn't get plastered before work so I'm thankful he texted me.
