Emily's PoV

I drive carefully past the trees, pulling up to a familiar house. My home.

As I park, I spot lots of people hovering outside. They were all holding flashlights and maps in their hands.

I quickly turn of the ignition, checking my reflection in my mirror. I wipe away the dried tears and jump out of the car, where I'm engulfed in a large hug.

"Emily!" He whispers into my ear, "I thought I had lost you?"

I shake my head confused, "I'm right here dad."

He sighs, standing back, "Where were you?"

"I....I was at the C..Cullen's...." I mutter, "They....they left....dad....they left."

His face softens dramatically, as he rubs my shoulder affectionately.

"And Jasper?" He asks cautiously.

I shake my head, "I don't really want to talk about it."

He gives me a small smile, clutching me into another tight hug kissing me fatherly on my temple.

I side glance at all the people surrounding the nearby area.

"What's going on? Who are these people?" I ask.

He takes a deep breathe, "I was worried that both you and Bella had gone missing...."

"......So I set up a search party. I should have known you would be at the Cullen's....."

"Where's Bella?" I search the crowd for my favourite brunette.

"I don't know," Dad admits, "I can't find her."

I sigh tears filling my eyes, "The Cullen's left, Dad. That means Edward probably went to say goodbye. They no doubt went into the forest, down the trail close to the house."

"The forest!" He exclaims, "I thought I told you both not to go in there. It's dangerous."

"Da-"

I stop mid sentence as I hear a deep voice yell out.

"I found her!"

I whip round and peg it over to my sister, embracing her immediately. She fell into my arms with ease and sobbed into my shoulder.

"They've gone, Emily," she mutters in a daze, "They left us behind."

I put up a brave face, but I knew she could see the sadness deep in my eyes.

I brush her hair out of her eyes, soothing her, "I know, but we'll be okay, I'll make sure of that."

She goes to open her mouth but doesn't make a sound, instead she nods silently as Dad lift her out of my embrace.

We entered the house, going straight up to Bella's room. Dad gently lays her in her bed, leaving me to tuck her in as we wait for the doctor.
I continue to sooth my darling sister, keeping her nice a warm, passing her a bottle of water as she was no doubt dehydrated.

"...Charlie, Bella will be fine. Physically she will just need to rest and drink some fluids. Emotionally, well, she just needs time Charlie. They both do...."

I ease drop, listening to the two adults discuss matter outside the bedroom door.

"Emily," I hear Bella whisper.

"Hmmm."

"Don't leave me," she begs.

I slide under the duvet, cuddling up to her, "I will never leave you."

Days began to pass rapidly, slowly turning into months, during this time Bella seem to become more depressed falling into an conscious coma. She was aware of everything around her, she ate her meals, showered, basically followed a simple routine. And yet she never spoke to anyone, she never left the house. It was like she was stuck in a world of her own.

I could relate though, I knew exactly how she felt. She lost the love of her life, just like me. I guess I just seem to be staying strong for everyone else, until I can eventually let out all my emotions.

Bella and I slept together every night, and I would keep it that way until she was ready to move on. To be honest I found it both comforting and calming to be around her. We both mutually understood how the other felt. It was an overwhelming sense of losing reality.

It took months before Bella started to grow back into the sister that I remember and not the strange zombie that had been residing in her skin.

"I want to go see Jacob," Bella states, as I stare at her blankly.

"What?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"I want to go see Jacob."

"Why?"

She shrugs, "I think it would be good for both of us to get out and about."

I narrow my eyes at her, "what's with the sudden change?"

"Well...I want to fix up some old motorcycle's," she admits shyly.

I stare at her in disbelief.

"I need to do something to distract my mind from Edward," she explains, "I need to do something dangerous in order to fill the weird void I have inside of me."

"Don't tell me," I state, "it's because Edward was dangerous."

"Is."

"Sorry?"

"He is dangerous," she clarifies.

"Bella......he's not coming back," I whisper sadly.

She sighs, "I know."

It goes silent.

"But that doesn't mean I can't hope," she mumbles, "hope that maybe they all come back."

"I wish they would too," I stare off into the distance.
