                     Two Hours Earlier..

Tyler stopped the engine and stepped out of the car, leaving a confused Sky inside. She was wondering why would Tyler stop here, in this dull place. Stepping out of the car, she leans on the 69 Chevy Impala next to her boyfriend. He was quiet. Too quiet. He crossed his legs, palms against the hood, he sighed. He thought of the events that happened lately. The events that would change his life forever. He blew in the air, too lost in his thoughts to watch his warmth disappear in the cold weather. He closed his eyes, trying to forget everything, forget what he had done, forget what happened, forget that even at his worst, Sky was still holding on to him, fighting for him just like he was fighting for her. Loving her would be the death of him. Sky gazed at Tyler for a couple of minutes, wondering what could possibly be wrong with him, asking herself why would he bring her here. But he seemed too lost in an internal battle to be interrupted, so she decided not to ask, and instead, she sat leg crossed on the car hood, shoving her hand in her coat and slid a MarlBoro out the red and white packet. She put it between her lips, then waited a moment before bringing the lighter to her chin. She flicked it, and the flame charred the end as she drew in the fumes. The end of the cigarette began to glow, then she went back to toying with the flint. Tyler lowered his eyes to the lighter in her hand, it said “ Smoking Gun”, he shook his head, in disagreement

-“ One cigarette at a time” he said, his voice merely audible. “ What a slow way to die”

She took a long deep drag on her cigarette and realized she had shortened her life span by another three minutes, her throat burned at the contact again, the heat escaped through her nose this time and seared her nostrils

-“ I’ll die young and beautiful” She smiled, throwing her head back, gazing at the clouded Sky

-“ You should stop” he motioned at the venom between her lips

-“ Isn’t that how you like me?” she closed her eyes. “ Smart, classy, and endlessly damaged” Opening her eyes, she smirked. Leaning in to kiss her, Tyler jerked back when she blew the smoke in his face

-“ I hate it when you do that” he frowned, waving the smoke away

-“ I love it when you smell like trouble”. Tyler smirked, stretching his feet, and offered a hand for Sky to hold

-“ Come on” She took his hand and walked next to him until they stood in front of a big building. Tyler took a deep sigh before pushing the door and holding it for Sky. She took a moment to take in what had been thrown at her. She immediately stood closer to Tyler, squeezing the life out of his hand as he tilted his head politely at the young woman sitting behind the counter.

-“ I’m here. Don’t be scared” he whispered, pulling her into a one side hug.

Depressing. Everything was spotlessly clean, yet you can still taste sickness in the air. Wards and corridors of sick people. Sky looked at the patients with frightened eyes.  She knew they'll never get better, because she saw it in their eyes and the hopelessness of their faces and no matter how every floor was scrubbed spotlessly, she could still  see all the tears that were ever shed on it. Fair Haven Hospital was a horrible place.
