Lockets And Promises

Alone

All alone

" Kay",she heard someone call her name,but she was too lost in herself to bother finding out who it was.

She could hear voices all around her but they all seemed so distant

Too far away.

They were trying to get her attention,but she couldn't bring herself to concentrate on any of them

What was happening ?

What was this feeling ?

Why did it feel like a void had been created in herself ?

How ?

This emptiness seems to want to consume her very being and overpower her with every breath she took

Was she even breathing ?

" She's hyperventilating ", someone shouts from somewhere in the room

Well they'd better help whoever it was

Arms wrap around her and a hand trails her back in comforting circles

When had she even sat down ?

And why was she being comforted ?

It takes her a while before she realizes she having the attack.

Of course she was

A humorless laugh escapes her lips and even when she knew he wasn't in the room,she could see those green orbs staring back into the very core of her being exposing her to her own deceit

Those electrifying greens

Those eyes

Flashback

( Six Years Ago )

" Kay',she heard him calling from downstairs.

She rolls her eyes before getting out of bed only to meet him halfway up the stairs.

He grinned widely when he spots her and she rolls her eyes again trying to hide her smile. 

They walk into the backyard and sit themselves on the swingsets she'd gotten for her birthday last year.

She had been waiting for him for over twenty minutes and he just had to come screaming her name like the insane person she knew him to be.

" What " ?,he asks her and she realizes he'd caught her staring.

" Nothing ",she huffs shrugging.

They talk for a while about nothing in particular and she could tell he was forcing himself to not drill whatever she had for him out of her. 

She'd told him after school that she would be waiting for him with something very special and she knew he was  just dying to see it

He hated surprises and she knew it.

" Are you listening ? ",he asks tapping her forehead gently and she realizes she'd zoomed out of their conversation.

" Yes I am ",she lies

" Uhuhhh",he exclaims not believing her one bit.

He seemed to realize what she was thinking because he gives her his famous toothy smile, pulling it off even with the two he was missing and she returns it with
one of her own
