'This is strange,' I said.

'The doors didn't close in your maze? How did you bloody survive?'

'Oh they did. That's why it's strange. Everything seems the same. So similar it's creepy.'

'I imagine...'

'I feel like I'm trapped in a déjà vu.'

'A what?'

'It's a French word. It describes when you feel that you've lived or seen something exactly the same in the past.'

'Oh... Never felt that.'

A couple of guys passed by us.

'Dinner time, lovebirds!' one of them said.

I turned to Newt. His dark eyes fixated on mines.
'Uhm, I'm not very hungry. You go, I'll stay out here,' I said.

'I'm not leaving you alone.'

'I can defend myself.'

'I know, it's just...'

'You look hungry, go. After all, I can't go anywhere.'

'I'll be right back.'

He grinned. As he walked away, I could see the golden reflexes coming from his hair. It was almost nightfall, but his blonde hair struck me. Deep down I didn't want Newt to leave. I was beginning to like him. A lot. I felt different when I was around him. Every time our eyes met, butterflies filled my stomach. The way he looked at me was indescribable. He made me forget how to talk. But I obviously didn't let him see it.
