Reconnaissance flight

Shumen...

I was hunting but my territory was too small, I was going to destroy the local fauna... it was early in the morning. I saw the green lawn and left my barn. Mom put Volcania in the incubator and plugged in the safety circuit in case the incubator disconnected. Then I took a deep breath of dewy air. With a blow of the wing and by pushing with my hind legs I quickly gained altitude. I made an observation flight in relation to the map. And a round around my estate.

It was cool in the morning but the day looked beautiful and sunny. Locating the high voltage cables was essential... so I was very careful for my night hunts.

An impulse of the sunrise made me sing and, by reflex or instinct, when a dragon is happy or will mark its territory, it roars!

Rooooooaaaaarrrr!

The deafening and powerful sound resonated over the world after more than one thousand five hundred years!

All the animals freeze, as if this sound were written in their genes.... The prophetic return of the great predator.

The dogs moaned and cried and some of them let loose at their owner's house, terrified. Even the bears are yelping.

The forest was shaking. She knew... it was also a hunting cry.

I flew over the area and even went around Shumen to see with my own eyes the city, the roads and shops and all that teeming life. But it was the smokes from the market that attracted me.

But it was too early. I had to proceed as for Theodoric's City.

I was photographed and filmed by all smartphones but I didn't care.

I was hungry and I needed blood and mana.

The large forest south of the city was perfect. I was walking around and there were still a lot of people walking around. Never mind... Growl was making my stomach.... I had to eat a lot to give my energy to the little girl.

Deer... Wild boars. Then I witnessed an accident.

Tourists had hit a young boar and the parents made a car collision with a tree. A swerve... the little girl had gone out to call for help, the parents stunned.

But she had taken refuge on the hood, surrounded by furious wild boars trying to eat her.

I went for the boar whose fury calmed down in my belly and landed next to the crying child.

I took the parents out of the car that caught fire immediately after their release.

I left the three boar heads there and went home.

I informed François who called for help and then I went back to see what was going on.

The firemen arrived and asked what happened, because there was a lot of blood around the car.

"It's a big red bird with lots of teeth..... The big pigs wanted to eat me... I climbed on the car but I was slipping and the bird ate the pigs... He took Mom and Dad out of the car and the car went boom... Thank you, bird!"

A rumour of a dragon's arrival spread like wildfire.

Gypsy children saw me playing near the hotel and they saw me among humans. Certainly to make easy pocket money, they took selfies. It didn't bother me as long as my egg was safe.

Tonight, barbecue with my family.

Roasted boar was made, but Mom bought a mincing machine and the kilos and kilos of meat were minced, eggs and herbs and onions.

We made meat loaves in series and we ate ourselves... especially me!

the gypsy neighbours arrived and unpacked their violins and we celebrated late at night.

I slept like a dorm and several cold people saw themselves snuggled up against me.

The children did not miss one to send my picture on social networks.

While I was incubating, some of them came with their computers and I was interested. BUT really....

I was helped to make my facebook page, and set up my presence on the networks. I could surf and read the comments and it was fun.

I loved like them and bought a lot of stuff on Amazon!

My cave (troglodyte house) was arranged and I was able to free the hotel!

With home deliveries, it was great. I managed to get the same carriers to deliver me because they were used to it...

My size naturally inspired respect.

Of course what was supposed to happen happened.

The scientific community that believed in a well-organized hoax were forced to admit that I existed.

Cryptozoologists arrived and were received by my mother and from the beginning "consultations" with a time slot were established so that people would leave me alone.

I loved watching TV when I wasn't hunting and I used to watch Google Maps for maps

Scientists silently landed and saw me surfing the Internet and I could see through a projector as a screen and a laser keyboard.

I didn't say anything, because I didn't even notice their terrified presence.
Then, I read very, very fast, 4 to 5 times faster than a human and the pages scrolled against all understanding.
We met and they could only see my intelligence.
I obviously didn't want to tell them everything. But after many harassing questions, I gave in, telling them that I could defend myself and demonstrating my poisoned tail stinger. HAHAHAHAHA... if they knew..... Moreover, they were even more afraid and the debate raged as to whether I should be human or animal.
The debate took weeks and after many arrangements between them they wanted to put me in a reserve elsewhere, in a kind of open or semi-open zoo in semi-freedom.
When they exhausted themselves to study me with all the procedures etc.... I sent them my lawyer and a copy of my identity card.
This ended their claims.
If they wanted to study me, it was PAYING and non-invasive and no more than one day a month!
Then it was the tourist buses and Paparazzi. Finally my Likes score was skyrocketing.
I was a star and journalists came in with generally the same questions.
But in general, what made me happy was that people were curious and in the end wanted us to be well. A total of 180° with people of my time.
Then I told our story and said on my page that I was happy to come to a world where we were no longer persecuted.
Thank you Amphisbaene for everything you have done.
Now my heart and my instinct pushed me in search of ways to open the door of darkness.
I was waiting for Corso with a firm paw!
