" goodness gracious, let's just break up "

warnings: things being thrown, toxic relationship?, unrequited love, break up, jaebeom is a lousy boyfriend, angst, swearing, and this is a drabble

The sound of glass shattering caused the whole argument to go silent. You stood, too shocked to even speak. The burgundy colored wine leaked down the wall slowly. Glass surrounded by your feet and you gently dust some flecks off your sweater.

"Are you fucking insane?" You whispered, catching his gaze.

"I- ___- I didn't mean to. It was out of anger, I'm sorry." He quickly apologized. His anger subsiding and his features softening upon seeing your eyes glimmering with eventual tears.

"I'll clean it up." You said nonetheless. Even though, a whole wine bottle almost collided with your head, you still wanted to avoid his sorry's. His worn out apologies. There was no way he could be sincerely sorry.

You stepped over the glass and shuffled towards the closet. Besides, this wasn't the first time you've had to clean up his mess. Always, always you were left to pick up the pieces while he destroyed everything in his path. This relationship was victim to his destruction.

Jaebeom didn't you even love you anymore. He only stayed because you begged and pleaded for him to stay with you. You loved him so much and he repaid you with nothing but dust and arguments.

One day you were going to snap and leave him. Every night you hoped it would be the next day but it never happens. He goes out and enjoys himself. Probably cheating and what not. You still stayed to clean and prayed the relationship would return to what it was when you two were still high school sweethearts.

Every time when he tried to leave and you'd beg him he would call you crazy. Jaebeom called you crazy for loving him so much.

Yet- tonight, knowing that wine bottle could've caused you pain and possible trip to the hospital. You knew who was the crazy one. You couldn't live like this. Not with him. He didn't want to either, so what's the point in keeping him around.

You retrieved the broom and grabbed a couple of towels. "I'll sleep on the couch." He sighed. Like he didn't sleep on it usually.

"No need. I want you gone." You voiced nonchalantly. It hurt; telling him to leave you. You bent down collect the glass in the dust pan.

"What?" Jaebeom questioned quietly.

"You can leave. I know you've been wanting to leave me for a while. You can finally leave my crazy ass, Jaebeom." You shrugged.

"That's absurd, ___-"

"You can stop faking your love for me! Alright, just go!" You threw the broom and dust pan down. Jolting to stand.

He looked at you brokenly but nodded anyway.

You watched him walk into your shared room and come back out a couple minutes later with a duffle bag. You watched him attempt to make conversation with you before he left through the front door.

You still cleaned once he left. But this time you wore a weak smile instead of sporting your salty tears.
