"When are you going to start playing field again, ___. It's been almost a year since you two have seen each other you're still whining about how you'll never find love again. It's so depressing seeing you like this." Your roommate ranted from your threshold.

Still, you continued to munch on your chips and stare at your television screen. You got this lecture once a week from them and it was starting to become routine. You were used to getting yelled at for not being able to move on.

And you'd have to admit that if the roles were reversed you'd be mad too that your sulky roommate was such a cockblock because they didn't care to leave the apartment when you brought random people home.

You'd definitely be annoyed.

But the roles were what they were and you remained the roommate whom couldn't get over a boy who agreed you two wouldn't fit. It sucked but what could you do?

"You could do a shower." They answered you, you didn't even notice you had said that aloud. You were so caught up in your head to even come in terms with reality.

"Later." You murmured, flipping the channel where another love story christmas movie played. You scoffed and switched to disney channel. There you wouldn't be ridiculed by your own television about being a whiny, single bitch.

"No!" you were shocked with the raise in tone and actually averted your attention to your door. Your roommate was dressed in silk and obviously had tidied herself up, most likely ready for someone to come over.

"There's a hot girl coming over tonight and the last thing I need is for her to know my single ass roommate is watching hannah fucking montana next in the room next to her while-" They inhaled sharply.

"___ just take a shower and go shopping. You lock yourself in here with a large bag of chips and two water bottles and call it three meals. Treat yourself, I'll even pay for your dinner."

She was desperate, it was laughable. But you couldn't help but feel bad since your roommate had to suffer for the past year with your mopey ass.

You rolled up your chip bag and switched off the tv. "I'll go, but only because you offered to pay for me."

The restaurant was cozy and snug, complimenting the outfit you decided to sport today. You swapped out your infamous crying sweatshirt for a sweater and your gym shorts for some jeans.

Yet your mind was still clouded with negativity and despair. You waited patiently for your food since you had just ordered it and took another sip from your glass of water. Your eyes wandered around the quaint restaurant.

And to your surprise you found a pair of eyes that had found interest in you, you choked on your drink and placed it back down on the wooden table. Your eyes quickly finding everything else interesting all of a sudden.

The man whose eyes were focused on you prior to you even noticing his presence was handsome. Like greek God handsome. His eyes were sharp and intimidating, matching his resting face that made you shiver. Judging by the glimpse of his suit that you had gotten he must've been important.

You must look so out of place compared to him that he wanted to keep a close eye on you. Embarrassing, you thought to yourself.

"Hello," A profound voice sounded from the side of you. You glanced up in confusion to see the man whom was staring at you just seconds ago.

"I couldn't help but notice you were alone. Is someone else supposed to be coming to meet you?" He tilted his head, his gaze challenging your own.

Not finding the strength to actually utter words you shook your head. "Great." He slid into the seat across from you.

"Kim Taehyung, CEO of Kim enterprises." He proudly jutted out his hand for it to be shook by you. Without hesitation you did.

"Kim enterprises? Like- the oil company?" So, he was important. Kim enterprises was known for their oil of course and how they found a way not to harm the environment while making it. It shocked you that you didn't recognize him sooner.

"___, CEO of absolutely nothing." You laughed awkwardly. Your hand was still caged in his while he chuckled.

"It's nice to meet you, ___. I was wondering if you were- well- if you would like to accompany to a date. I've been eyeing you since you've walked in. Wait- that sounded weird," He retracted his hand from your and fiddled with his thumbs.

Your heart swelled at the sight of him fumbling over his words. This handsome ass CEO was getting flustered because of you.

"What I meant was that I think you're very pretty and I want to treat you to a date."

Thank you, ___, you thanked your roommate internally.

Any remembrance of your ex boyfriend had vanished. Your new focus was this coy, but daunting CEO man who took interest in you.

"I would love to."
