The students were woken up early and they stayed at the hotel for have breakfast. The tea was very hot as some poured theirs into their bottles to reserve it since it was also sweet.
Around 8am the buses drove into the water corporation and the students got down and soon the tour started and for the students it was very boring.
They hurriedly passed through the period before getting onto the bus and heading towards the Power Transmission Company,Osogbo which controlled the lights of Nigeria. It was a huge place with many wires and transformers. They lined up in a straight line as a middle aged man led them inside.
"Maria,are you okay?" Semiloore asked.
"Sure" Maria replied.
"I don't think so,you've acting quite I don't know,you don't even want me to leave your sight" Semiloore said jokingly while those around laughed.
The place perked up most of their interests and they listened to how the man spoke about electricity generation,how it is converted to the safer lights we use at home and all sorts. The sun was already high up in the sky before they were done.
"Say thank you to Mr Adele for taking you round and teaching you" Mr Williams said with a smile.
"Thank you sir! We appreciate your efforts,God bless you"
They all chorused while the man in person just smiled and waved at the students as they fell into a straight line and Semiloore quickly ran towards were Peter and the boys were.
"Guys"
"What's up?"
"Does anyone know what's wrong with Maria?" Semiloore asked.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing,her expression been really weird since I woke up this morning,she won't even let me leave her sight. I'm not a 5-year old kid right?"
The boys managed to laugh in spite. They pilled into the bus immediately.
"We are heading to Lagos now, we'll stop on the way for lunch"
The bus pulled through into the traffic as music seeped from the speakers. The song changed to "Baby" by Justin Bieber. It was quite an old song but a popular one.
Semiloore brought out her phone and texted John.
John was playing a football game on his phone when his phone showed a message notification. He ignored it and yet another one entered.
"This MTN people again eh" he said to himself as he ignored it again. And yet another message entered. Furious,he closed his game and click on his message app. The messages were from Semiloore.
Hey,can you come over to my seat? Please?
Damn it! Hey! Answer me!
Will you check your message now?!
John raised his head to see Semiloore frowning at him. He chuckled to himself and stood up while Semiloore scurried off to the back. John sat down and noticed Maria glancing at him with uncertainty in her eyes. He rolled his eyes and went back to his game.
"Jo.....hn" Maria stuttered out.
"Huh?" John replied back his eyes not leaving his game.
"Are you still mad at me? Do you still think that am not worth being Semiloore's friend?"
"No" John replied.
Maria swallowed her saliva and leaned back in her seat. Clearly he didn't want to talk to her. Naturally he wasn't much of a talker,he was more of a snubbish kind of person.
