Nicole Brooks.

There are many words that come to people's minds when they hear her name. Gorgeous, cunning, manipulative, mean, secretive and above all, flawless.

Now none of these adjetives came to my mind at lunch on the first day back at school for junior year. It was a different word that I thought described her great at that moment.

Bitch.

Now I know what you're thinking right now. Wow, this girl is cliche; how shocking. She doesn't like the popular girl. Hater much? but I had a good reason for this description of her. Let me back up a little bit and tell you the whole story from the beggining of my day.

I look in the mirror one last time to see if I have missed a flaw in my appearance from the other one hundred times I checked but I still looked the same. My straight dirty blonde hair was in the same messy bun and my skinny jeans and flowy white shirt looked the same as it did a second ago.

Now I usually wasn't this picky about my outfit but being as it was the first day of my junior year I decided to look nicer than usual. I gave myself a nod of approval and headed downstairs at the sound of a horn.

I open the door to find my best friend Belle Williams in her car waiting for me. She is starting her junior year as well as me. We had been best friends since we were 7 in second grade. She messed up my power puff girl puzzle so I punched her hard and she punched me back harder. We have been best friends ever since.

I open the door and see her in the driver seat looking as flawless as ever. Her sunshine waist long hair is in a perfect fishtail and her green eyes were sparkling more than usual. She gives me the mischevious smirk I knew too well and stated "Why, Claire! You look more like a girl than usual" she jokes as I send her a dirty look and climb into the passenger seat.

I look at her to see her sipping a frappe from starbucks. I smile sweetly at her "Anything for me?" She rolls her eyes and hands me a sweet tea which I gratefully take, happy that Belle remembered that I like sweet tea more than coffee.

"So" I say as I turn on the radio and turn up the song that was on which was coincidentally one of my favorite songs, Sing. Ed Sheeran had the voice of an angel. "Lunch together?" I ask knowing the answer.

"Of course Claire bear" Belle stated, using the nickname she knew I hated. "Don't call me that" I groan but she just smiles.

All of the sudden Fergalicious comes on and we burst out laughing. When we were in middle school we memorized this whole song. We loved it. She turned it up higher and we rolled down the windows and started belting out fergalicious. I was feeling better about my first day.

We pulled into the parking lot as the song ended and we let out a long sigh and got out. "Well, I'll see you at lunch Claire bear" she says while blowing me a kiss and walking to her first class.

I take a deep breath and head inside to get to my locker. I see a few familiar faces and say high and occasionally stop to talk to them. Now don't get me wrong I am in no way the most popular girl in school but I was pretty high up on that list. Still, I was nothing compared to the golden girls.

I quickly got to my locker and checked my schedule again. I had biology and then calculus for my first two classes before lunch. I quickly unload my bag in my locker and get the stuff I need.

I stop my unloading when I heard a few squeals and a "there he is!" and a "did he get even hotter?" I roll my eyes and turn to look at who they are talking about but I don't need to turn around to know who they were talking about.

Luke Evans. The most notorious player in the school. Everyone fell for him because of his looks and the fact that he flirted with every girl in our grade. I wouldn't deny that he was attractive with his sandy blonde shaggy hair and his electric blue eyes and his seductive smirk he was like a supermodel when it came to our small town but his awful arrogant personality ruined anything he had going for him in my opinion.
