20: before Eun Danoh, there was Hyun Seol

a/n: before we start, I'd just wanna give a heads up to ya'll. 

Wayyy before TRUMPET CREEPER, the Writer had a short story called THE CROWNED PRINCESS, and that short story was like a background story for Lady Hyun Seol, Second Prince Baek Kyung, Ha Ru, and Crowned Prince Geom Jinmi. So, in THE CROWNED PRINCESS, the main characters are Seol, Kyung, Jinmi, and Haru. Unlike with TC, TCP isn't a manhwa.

Now, in this chapter, I'd like to finally open up to everyone on who Oh Ara was and is in TC and SECRET. I hope ya'll have fun reading~~! :)

M01: NAME

LADY HYUN SEOL ; 8 YEARS OLD

"ABEOJI! ABEOJI!" Hyun Seol calls out while running back inside the house.

Lord Hyun Jung turns away from the servants and picks his daughter up into his arms. "What's wrong, Seol? Why were you calling for me? Where's your brother?"

Seol pouts and answered right away, "Some kids from the Kim and Baek household were walking by outside and suddenly they started to throw rocks at me. Joon orabeoni then moves in front to shield me from the rocks. He told me to come and get you."

Lord Hyun sighs and puts his daughter down. Then he looks back at the servants and asked, "Watch my daughter and make sure that she stays inside."

"Yes, my Lord," the servants replied back with respect, one of them gently pulling Seol to her side.

Then Lord Hyun left the house. His voice could be heard and the kids that were throwing rocks at Seol and Joon had already run off back to their homes. Then Joon walks inside and Seol runs to him. She hugs him and apologizes for what happened.

"Don't apologize, Seol. It's those kids who should apologize," Joon whispers while softly patting his sister's head.

Then the two pulled away from Seol's hug and sees a young boy around Seol's age, standing beside Lord Hyun.

"Abeoji, who is he?" Seol asked with curiosity in her eyes.

"He is your brother's savior," Lord Hyun spoke up with relief in his eyes. "I saw him standing up for Joon."

Seol looks at Joon, who gave her a small smile and a nod. Then Seol looks back at the young boy and smiles at him. "Thank you for protecting my brother. What's your name?"

The young boy rubs his dirty hands on his pants and answered, "I don't...  I don't have a name."

Seol frowns and asked, "Are you an orphan?"

The young boy shifts on both of his feet and nodded nervously. Then Seol giggles and looks at her father. "Abeoji! Let's adopt him!" She exclaims, making her father chuckle, Joon's face becoming pale and the young boy's eyes widen in surprise.

"Well, I wouldn't mind having another son," Lord Hyun spoke up, making the young boy cry tears of joy.

Then Joon adds in, "Haru."
