"Hello?"
I mumble quietly after knocking on the door of what I thought was Alexei's room since it read his name on the door plate. But to my surprise a girl in a Crimson pack colored uniform answers instead. She's so tall it's overwhelming and intimidating but I find comfort in her soft brown eyes that were nearly identical to Alexei's.
"Ah Alexei, your boyfriend is here. I'll leave you two be, please excuse me," The girl says as she walks past me and I walk in.
"He's not really! Argg," Alexei opened his mouth to argue with whoever that was before sitting up in bed.
"Sorry, don't mind my sister Artemis. She's new here and likes to make a lot of assumptions," He explains and I quietly nod, biting my lip nervously at the thought of just going near him.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He suddenly asks out of pure concern and I look down at the ground, twisting my shiny black shoe into the hardwood.
"Are you mad at me? For making you sick?" I ask and there's silence in the room with the floorboards creaking slightly.
His gentle fingertips taking me by surprise as he tilts my chin up and forces me to make eye contact with him.
Oh goddess, he's so handsome he takes my breath away with the way his messy black hair swirls and the tiny flecks of gold in his light brown eyes. His smile alone melts all of my stress and anxiety over upsetting him.
He will definitely make some beautiful babies.
Please shut up.
I beg Umiko but his words already set my face on fire. Sometimes he's so embarrassing I just I wish I could drown him in the ocean.
"No, because I could never be mad at you Wei," He says and I feel like I'm floating in a dream.
"Can I hug you?" He asks and I nod while I take the time to yell at myself internally for being awkward not saying anything before.
Alexei carefully takes his hand from my chin and wraps his arms around my waist like a giant teddy bear. I would try to wrap my arms around his neck but he's too tall since I'm only five feet tall and he's god only knows what.
"Here, I know what to do," With one surprising swoop, he picks me up like I'm lighter than the air itself and I giggle into his chest.
"But Alexei, you're hurt!" I argued with him midair before getting plopped onto the edge of his bed where I was finally the same height.
"Mmm, that's better," He says as he goes back to what he was doing before but this time I actually get to hold him the way I want to. My scrawny arms wrapped around his broad shoulders as I relaxed against him. I love every second as his embrace warms me in a way I've never felt before. I could stay just like this forever and ever but I don't want to hurt him further.
