Chapter 16: A new alliance

The Hazbin crew was running through one of the hallways in Alice's territory. The explosion and the noise lured nearly all Crawlers, Lost Ones and Butcher Gangs on this level to the main entrance of Alice's Cathedral, (Y/N) reached his friends befor the second wave of this cursed creatures reached them. They fighted the unholy creations of this dark abyss for some minutes, but they needed to think fast after they saw that the zombie like Lost Ones crawled out of the elevator shaft. The elevator was their only way out, but Charlie got the idea to escape through one of the hallways. They blocked the entrance of the large corridor and then started to run. They could defeat waves upon waves of those creatures, but it would be just a matter of time til they got overwhelmed. After a few minutes they stopped. Taking a break, Vaggie pulled her map out and started to look where they are,

V: "Hmm, we are somwhere...down here. There should be another elevator on this level."

Angel punched (Y/N) playfuly on his arm,

A: "You did it! You crazy son of a bitch actually did it!!"

His creator chuckles and then responds,

(Y/N): "No my friend. WE did it. We are a team, remember?"

Husk joins in while he takes a bootle of booze out of his back,

H: "Do you really doubt him Angel?"

A: "Of course not. But everything could've happen in there."

(Y/N) looks around at the group while he stands next to Vaggie. She looks up to him, gently grabs his collar, pulls him down and kisses his right cheek,

V: "I'm glad that it worked. But what happened in there, (Y/N)?"

(Y/N): "Well...i think i know now what happened to Susie."

Vaggie looks at him with curiosity...and a bit jealousy,

V: "Uhm, who is Susie?"

(Y/N): "The first voice actor for Alice Angel all these years ago. She...was...a good friend of mine. Joey tricked her, first he fired her because he found a replacement for her, then he lured her back with promises and then..."

His smile dropped a little while he speaks,

V: "Then what?"

Vaggie could see that something isn't right,

(Y/N): "Sigh. She is gone. There is just Alice Angel now. And...you were right. She tried to seduce me inside her Cathedral. Told me that i am important for her. I 'explained' to her that i'm already taken."

V: "What did you say to her?"

Like on cue Niffty joins in. She's looking up to them with a happy face, she told her what he did inside her Cathedral with her cheery voice,

N: "He swung his hammer into her stomach and then kicked her across the stage."

V: "Oh. Thanks Niffty."

Niffty nods and then walks towards Alastor and Charlie, both of them are currently talking with each other. Vaggie looks at (Y/N) with a half smile.
(Y/N) chuckles again,

(Y/N): "Like i said..."

He places his hands on her shoulders, he smiles and then speaks with her with a low voice,

(Y/N): "...why would i need an Angel, if i already have a demon?"

This is another rare, peaceful moment. But it shouldn't last long. Husk takes a seat on a wooden box while he drink his booze, he leans back, trying to relax a bit. He didn't notice that there is a wooden plank right behind him, he leans back on it, until it starts to fall.
