"Welcome home, (Y/N)."

"Hold up, what?"

You looked between the two men in front of you, they didn't move or say anything else. You were worried that you might have stumbled into a cult of some sort.

"Is this like a cult gathering or something?" You asked, confused out of your mind.

One of the men chuckled and faced you. He was a middle-aged man and one of his eyes was covered by something metal. "No, nothing like that." He said, giving you a comforting smile. "I am Lord Demanitus, it is nice to meet you (Y/N)."

You took a second to process what this man said. "Hold on, Lord Demanitus? As in, that engineer guy who banished the evil demon warlock Zhan Tiri in another dimension over 1,000 years ago? Aren't you supposed to be dead??"

Demanitus laughed and shook his head. "So you have heard of me before. And yes, I should be dead by now, but I won't tell you how I am still here."

"Ok but, if you're Demanitus, then who is he?" You said as you gestured to the man who still hadn't faced you yet.

"That is King Edmund," Demanitus replied as the man finally turned around. "He is not only a king, but your father."

"My what now?" You stared at Edmund and Demanitus in shock. "What is actually happening right now?!" You thought to yourself.

"Ok, this is a lot to take in all at once." You rubbed the side of your head.

Adira had pulled out a chair and you quickly sat down along with Demanitus and Edmund. You were not expecting any of this when you walked in here, all you wanted to do was ask someone questions, and leave if you had the answer or not.

You sat up in the chair and stared at your hands as you didn't want to make eye contact with your apparent father. "So, if you're my dad... does that make me a princess, a-and my brother a prince?"

King Edmund nodded his answer, but you still had so many questions. It was going to be a long day or... night? The kingdom and its atmosphere was dark and eerie, not to mention that it felt abandoned for years.

"How long have you been living here a-and, why is it just the three of you?" You asked, slowly gaining a headache with every new question swarming around your mind.

"We've been here for over 25 years. Now, no more questions. You look like you could use some rest." Adira answered as she headed to the door.

You stood and walked over to the white-haired woman. "Where are we going?"

"To your room, it has already been prepared for you," Adira said, opening the door and stepping out into the hall with you following close behind.

"My room? You do mean the guest room, right?"

Adira chuckled lightly and placed her hands behind her back. "You sure do like to ask questions, but no, I don't mean the guest room. You and your brother shared this room when you were small." She then stopped in front of two large and dark doors, nothing new really.

She pushed them open, revealing a fairly simple room. A single bed was placed on the right-hand side up against the wall. One things for sure, you didn't recognize it at all even if this was apparently your room when you were a baby. It was a bit dusty inside and spider webs lined the corners of the walls, you guessed that they were in a hurry to get this room set up for you.

"Oh, I'm not going to stay. I just wanted to ask for help." You said as you faced Adira, pulling out Varian's journal from your satchel.

"We know why you're here (Y/N), and we have the answers for you." The tall woman said as she stepped into the empty room. "But it will take a while for you to fully understand them. Demanitus is ready to help you whenever you are."
