Cloves PoV
Cato brushes the wet streaks off my face and wraps me in his strong arms.
The arms that have always been there to keep me safe, and away from all the dangers in the world. All the cares in the world.
He was always there.
All the restless nights I couldn't fall asleep, he stayed up to the early hours of the morning calling and texting me. Once he even snuck to my house.
All the times he brushed his fingers through my long dark hair, and wiped the tears from my eyes, just like tonight.
The times he yelled, and once even punched a kid for messing with me, willing to get a detention.
And when I wore all of his sports sweatshirts and hoodies more than even he would.
He was the sunshine in my thunder storms.
Always there for a warm hug on cold days.
"Are you alright Clover?" He whispers in my ear.
"Yes. Now I am," I reply nestling my head into his chest.
Suddenly Cato begins humming.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine," He begins to sing quietly, "You make me happy, when skies are grey,"
I sigh leaning my head deeper into Catos chest.
"You'll never know dear, how much I love you, so please don't my sunshine away. No please don't take, my sunshine away," he finishes holding the last word.
"I love you," I whisper.
