MUSIC BLASTED THROUGH the speaker system built into my bedroom as Blaire laid in on top of my neatly made bed, waiting impatiently as I finished getting Eden ready.

Prom starts at six and it is four-thirty. Blaire is already entirely ready and now she is being an absolute pain in my behind all because it is Eden's turn to hold my attention and we all know how Blaire feels about Eden.

She should be being nicer. I had actually entirely forgotten to make her a dress, assuming that she had a dress already considering she is usually more than prepared for events like prom, but apparently the dress no longer fits because she lost weight, which I think was just a dig at me considering I was eating those oil-slicked chicken tenders from the school cafeteria, but I could not deny her request—well I could—otherwise she would cause a preventable scene.

Besides, Eden more so got her to shut up by inviting her to get ready with us—though she was already invited—and telling her that it would be no hassle at all for me to prepare her a dress. It is a hassle, but fortunately, the hours spent creating these dresses have been the best hours of my life, so I made Blaire one, not for her, but for me.

I think Eden feels sorry for her. Eden has the tendency to feel sympathetic for anyone that is not completely smiles and sunshine and yellow-ness.

For Blaire's dress, I had to resist the urge to make her a Medusa themed one, instead, I chose Snow White for she is incredibly irritating and has little to no brain cells left.

Yellow and blue are two colors of which I personally do not think go too well together, so I got rid of the yellow and designed a tight-fitting navy dress. It was simple, yet regal. Besides, Blaire has a slim figure that I would die for, so the form-fit of the dress will accentuate her skinny physique and long legs with the high-low portion of the dress.

She wore her hair up in a high ponytail, all her baby hairs gelled back and a luminescent highlighter painted the highest points of her face. Considering I removed yellow from the pallet relating to her theme, I gave her gold accessories instead. Gold hoops, gold bangles and these metallic platform heels.

"So, Eden." Blaire began as I sectioned off Eden's hair and curled it. "I never did find out. Why did you transfer so late in the semester?"

I turned to glare at her, "Blaire!"

Eden inhaled deeply, closing her eyes for a brief second before opening them, her angered irises boring into mine as we both shared the same triggered look.

"Because, Blaire," Eden turned to face her, "much like Tru, I wanted a better education and I'm lucky enough to be able to afford to go to Dayton Academy."

That was entirely false. I do not think that Eden could care less about her education, hence the fact that she is going to community college—which is fine—but she could do better. Though, that was none of Blaire's business.

Though, that does get me thinking. Eden originally had lied about the reasoning behind her transferring from Pennsylvania to Dayton Lakes, so what if Truman's reasoning was false too?

He seems genuine, but so did Eden.

"Hmm," Blaire narrowed her eyes at Eden as I pushed the curled ringlets over her shoulder. "what was Pennsylvania like? I've never been."

Eden shrugged, "It's nice, I guess." she replied, sniffling as I sprayed a spritz of hairspray into the bottom portion of her thick hair. "The weather is similar, but the schools are less strict and people are not controlled by money there either."
