Being the last born, my siblings barely ever take my advice serious so I wouldn’t expect Aya to take it, she is the most stubborn of us all and she gets it from her parents and then they fail to understand her when she won't come around easily. I make my way downstairs chatting with Miracle via WhatsApp, well that’s what we all call him but his name is Aaron and he is uncle Micah and Aunty Ash’s son. We supposed to meet for lunch together with Shane, we all go to the same school and we play Rugby for the school team. When I get to the kitchen mom is making something to eat

“Where’s dad?”

I ask and mom shrugs

“In his office I think”

She says

“need help?”

I ask and she looks up at me and smiles

“Why can't your sister and brother be like you”

She says and I chuckle walking over to join her on the other side of the counter

“Well because they are spoilt”

I say and she laughs

“All of you are spoilt. Maybe Aya more than the rest of you, she is just like your father”

She says and I laugh

“You sure she’s not like you? When you are mad, you are dragon breathing fire kind of mad”

I say and she laughs

“hey watch it! I am your mother!”

She playfully scolds and I laugh

“You laughing so I’m doing well”

I say and she chuckles

“I love you baby”

She says nudging me

“I love you too Mafaku and don’t worry about your daughter and son, they will come around… eventually”

I say and she laughs

“eventually”

She says rolling her eyes

“When is your next exhibition?”

I ask and she sighs

“I haven’t even started sculpting and with what's going on I don’t think I will. I’ll have my stuff featured in the next exhibition though”

She says

“Don’t let what's happening stop you from sculpting mom”

I say and she chuckles

“I will, just not yet. I haven’t had any inspiration or whatsoever you know”
