-YANDISWA BESS

“You need me to accompany you?”

my husband asks as I get dressed preparing to go and fetch Macella, I turn my head to him

“No babe you don’t have too”

I say and then straighten up fixing my sweatpants

“You think things are ok with her and Yanga?”

He asks with concern plastered on his face, I shrug my shoulders

“I honestly have no idea”

I say and he looks at me for a while

“They both our children, I don’t want to be put in a position where one can't come home because of the other or suddenly when one enters room the other walks out”

He says and I nod

“I guess we will just have to wait for Mercy and hear what's going on”

He nods slowly

“And if she wants to move out permanently?”

I shake my head

“She is our daughter as much as Yanga is our son. She will only leave this house when she is leaving for work or getting married or something”

He nods

“Or something. We can't force her to be in an environment she doesn’t want to be in though. You should get there before the plane lands”

He says getting off the bed, I walk over to him and wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my waist

“I love you Mr Bess”

I say and then stand on my tiptoes to kiss him, we don’t deepen it and break it off

“I love you too Mrs me. You should talk to Boobie ok?”

I suggest and he frowns confused

“She ok?”

He asks as we walk out of the room with his hand around my waist

“She’s not ok, you should really talk to her Melo while I’m fetching Mercy ok?”

He nods. We make our way down the stairs just chatting about nothing, he walks me to my car and then stands by the door while I start the car

“See you when you get back?”

He says and I nod, he kisses me and then closes my door for me. I turn down the window

“now go inside and bond with your mother”

I say and he chuckles, he plants one last kiss on my lips before he leaves. I drive out of the yard and all the way to the airport. I am fortunate to get there as people are coming out of the terminals. She spots me and rushes to me dragging a small suitcase and then hugs me tightly as if someone is going to come and pull her away
