Nirvana POV
The month has been hectic and I don't know how my family is taking it. I make sure they know I am trying by leaving them little notes. I hope they understand.
"What is happening with the patient?" I asked an intern who paged me.
"polymorphic ventricular tachycardia and pulmonary artery pressure rising" She said.
"Give 20ml of magnesium immediately." I said.
"But,why?" The intern asked while injecting.
"His overall condition was not good when we performed the surgery so it happened." I said.
"This is uncommon?" Another Intern asked.
"Yes, Call me if there is an Emergency I will be in my cabin." I said.
I went to my cabin and started studying the case file which Raghav and I were are working on. I am really excited about this surgery. If I can do this surgery then NO one can reject my résumé. But this case is taking up all my time and I am tired to another level.
"Hello" I said when my phone rang.
"Hi Nirvana, Karan here" Karan said.
Why is karan calling me now. Is everything okay at home. I hope nothing I wrong.
"Is everything okay?" I asked panicked.
"Yes, Everything is fine, Don't worry". He said.
"Oh, Thank god." I said relieved.
"Yeah, Just wanted to ask you when you would reach home, all the cousin's are here" he said.
"Wait, What do you mean they are here, Wasn't that supposed to be next weekend?" I asked.
"Nirvana, I told you last week that they would be here this weekend." He said.
"Damn...Shit...I am so sorry...I will be" I was saying when nurse interrupted me.
"Dr.Nirvana" Nurse said.
"Dr.Raghav is shouting on the boss regarding your combined case" He said.
"What? Why?" I said.
"Don't know...a nurse told me to get you...you need to come immediately" He said.
"Okay...Umm...Karan I have to go...I don't think I can make it...I am sorry...I will call you back" I said.
"Okay..just call me after" He said.
I started running towards Malhotra's cabin which was 3 floors up. I looked to the nurse beside me and asked "What do you know?"
"I just know it concerns your case along with Dr.Raghav's case." He said.
I entered the cabin without knocking and saw Raghav completely out of character.
"I will do this no matter what." Raghav said.
"You cannot do that, I will not allow it" Maya(Patient's Fiance) Said.
"You will lose this position if you go against the patient's family." Malhotra said.
Raghav was getting ready to shout in outrage at him when I intervened.
"Calm down" I said to Raghav holding his arm and tugging it.
"Ma'am, I don't know what the problem is but I know this, We are the best surgeons you will find and no one will give you the success rate which we can give. Please think about this." I said to Maya.
"What will a cheater and a whore like you understand the purity of marriage." Maya said.
"Ma'am, You are crossing your boundaries, Please have care how you speak to me." I said calmly but with an edge in my voice.
