Chapter Fourteen

As soon as the engine fires up I had an adrenaline rush as I drove down the road. The smooth sound of the engine paired beautifully with the soft music playing from the radio. I hadn't driven a small car since my driving test but even that car was not as powerful as this one.

No wonder Nate loves this car. The ride was short-lived because I could just see a massive sign with the letters Tesco written on it.

Jackpot.

I quickly find a parking space and jump out of the car, not forgetting to lock it obviously. I don't want Nate's car to be stolen because that would mean the hole that I've been digging for myself all morning would have been enormous by now.

I decided to not waste too much time here because god knows Nate might come home early. He has the act for being unpredictable.

I speedily make my way through each aisle and pick out the necessary foods and put them into the trolley.

I want to make something that I grew up loving not only because it's literally the only thing I know how to cook but because of its a traditional family recipe that the men in the family seem to love. We are just waiting for Eaton to be old enough so that he could try it and hopefully love it too.

Nothing makes me more excited than watching Eaton growing up.

Chicken and Chorizo stew is probably one of the meals that I grew up loving, my grandma could make the best so I'm going to use her recipe to hopefully impress Nate tonight. She would be proud of me.

I can cook other stuff as well but I wouldn't say that I'm an amazing cook. I stopped cooking classes when I was in school and moved straight onto business classes and sports clubs instead.

After I was sure that I had everything I needed I headed straight for the cashier with my trolley in tow.

The woman was really nice and even though she knew exactly who I was she didn't make it that obvious, but after a while, she said that she didn't believe all the rumours about me online and in the media.

I was happy that someone believed me instead of what they read online.

As I made my way back to the car, I lifted my head to see but I really wished I didn't because I was faced with a surprised Tammy and a smirking George. They both looked from me to the car I'm currently loading the bags into.

I tried to find an excuse that I could tell them to why I'm driving such a beautiful car but I reach no end because there isn't one that could actually be a valid reason as to why. No doubt George already knows that this is Nate's car. Which is probably why he's smirking right now.

"Loretta!" Tammy says surprised, she closes the door to their car and rounds the Audi with a predatory gaze.

My heart beats rapidly against my chest, am I in shit or am I in shit shit. God knows I don't have a clue how I am going to get out of this.

My eyes move to George when I see him moving. Alarm bells ring inside my head when I see him advancing towards his phone. I try and reach out to him but he quickly pulls away before I even got within a couple centimetres.

"uh uh uh Retty, he has to know that his car has been stolen," He says grinning whilst he taps wildly on the screen.

"stolen!, he's my boyfriend you Idiot," I say glaring at him.

"So he's asked you to be his girlfriend because if that's the case then this is fine " Tammy smiles at me. I frowned at her.

"Oh come on, he doesn't have to ask me. We aren't in school anymore," I say closing the boot of the car finally. I can see George shaking his head in the corner of my eye and also Tammy's surprised face as she registers my words.
