Raphael's pov
I walked out the front door and stopped in my tracks as I saw him. He was leaning against a car. He looked at me as he noticed me.
Sighing, I walked towards him. As I was standing before him I punched him in the middle of his fucking face.
He stumbled back, holding his jaw and moaning in pain. He frowned at me. Before he could say anything, I approached him, pulling him into a hug. .
"Where the heck were you?" I asked him madly. "I assume you are my brother?" he asked me and I pulled away from him, looking at him confused. "What the hell do you mean?" I asked him back.
He looked at me blankly, muttering, "I've lost my memory, I've lost ... myself, I don't know who I am." I looked at him intently, trying to see if he was messing with me, but he seemed to be serious.
"Let's go to my office, we have a lot to talk about," I claimed. He nodded his head before we walked in and headed to my office. There was a lot to talk about, but also a lot to find out.
As we walked into my office, I sat in my leather armchair while he sat in the chair in front of my desk. "What is the last thing you remembered about?" I asked him, cocking my head.
Frowning, he thought for a while before saying, "I woke up in this woman's apartment. No, I woke up in the woods and saw a woman, she took me to her apartment and took care of my injuries."
"Do you remember anything before?" I asked him, leaning back in my chair. He seemed to force himself to remember what had happened before he woke up in the woods, but he obviously couldn't remind and shook his head, mumbling a 'no'.
"The woman who helped you," I said, taking Evelina's pictures out of a drawer, placing it in front of him, "is she that woman?"
He looked at the picture, nodding his head. "Yes, she is. She took me home ... and, then ... I mean, I was half conscious, but I remember her stitching my injuries me and taking care of me," he claimed pensively.
"Do you know why you got hurt?" I asked him the next question, taking two glasses, pouring whiskey into them.
"No," he said, while I gave him a glass, "I've already told you, I don't remember anything before."
"Then, listen," I said, lighting a cigarette to loosen up, "you made a deal for us before you were attacked. It was an arms trade."
"I already assumed I was involved in something dark," he said thoughtfully, before looking at me curiously. "What are we doing exactly?"
"We don't actually do anything because we are the center, we order and make sure that everything goes as planned," I told him.
"Who are we?" he asked me, wanting to hear in what we were involved, even though I could see that he had already figured it out.
"The Italian Mafia," I told him and he seemed to be lost in his thoughts for a while before swallowing the content of his glass and looking at me. "Have I killed before?" he asked me, surprising me as he remained calm after the news.
"Yes," I told him honestly. "That's what I thought," he said, making me frown. "Why?" I asked him.
"I was attacked by two men. They came to my suite, pretending to be room service, and wanted to kill me, I reacted instinctively and it took me less than ten minutes to handcuff and gag them. I ... tortured them until they told me who I am. I didn't feel bad while killing them. On the contrary, I felt a feeling of satisfaction," he told me, and I tensed.
"You killed them?" I asked him and he nodded his head. "Shit! Where did you leave the bodies?" I asked, hoping he didn't leave the bodies around!
"They're in the trunk of my car," he told me, I relaxed, leaning back in my chair again. "Good, Sergio will take care of them. Give me the address of the hotel, we have to send a cleaning crew over there to make sure there is no evidence of your crime," I told him before he scribbled the address on a piece of paper on my desk and gave it to me.
