Calina's pov
Leaning against the window with my arms crossed, I watched the outside, wondering where Adrian was.
Using the notebook I got from my brother, I tried to reach him with my social media accounts, but he didn't answer.
I tried calling the number he was using before it all happened too, hoping he didn't change his number, but he didn't reply from there either.
But I knew he wouldn't abandon me here, we cried together through hard times, laughed together in good times, and were always there for each other.
If he was dead, I would feel it. I knew he was alive and I knew he would come to get me. "Save me," I whispered, putting my hand on the window.
I was torn from my thoughts as the door aggressively opened. Turning my head towards the door, I saw Andrei entering the room, approaching me, the door behind him closing loudly due to the way it was pushed open.
"Is something wrong?" I asked him carefully, wrapping my arms protectively around my stomach as the way he looked at me scared me.
He stopped right in front of me before tilting his head, asking me, "Is something wrong? I don't know, maybe you can tell me? Huh?"
"I don't understand," I said cluelessly, taking a step back, the madness in his eyes was really scaring me.
"What exactly happened five years ago? I mean your wedding day," he said, taking a step towards me.
"I already told you," I muttered, looking down. He grabbed my chin and lifted my head, making me look into his eyes.
"And I trusted you," he said, betrayed. "I really don't know what you're talking about," I muttered, not wanting to say anything and expose myself as I didn't exactly know why he was mad.
"I talked to Raphael, and he told me everything, and I mean everything, like how you betrayed your family and escaped your wedding, or like how you ended up in his captivity! Or how-"
"I don't believe him, please, he's lying to you, believe me, I'm your sister," I begged, trying to slide out of the situation.
He let go of my face, snorting, taking a deep breath to calm himself down. Then, he went with his hand through his hair, pointing a finger at me, hissing, "I didn't trust him, and I put my trust in you! But he showed me how wrong I was with trusting you! By showing me bunch of evidences of your life over the past years! And he also explained me how you ended up with him, coincidentally, Evelina!"
"Let me explain," I sobbed, reaching for his hand. Shaking his head, he aggressively pulled his hand away, causing me to fall to the ground.
"What the hell do you want to explain? I've seen many pictures, footages, so many evidences! I'm not going to listen to your fucking lies anymore!" he spat angrily.
Getting up from the ground, I looked at him sadly. "Just listen to me, and let me explain everything, please," I whispered, tears leaving my eyes, feeling scared about what he'd do to me after finding out about my betrayal.
"There is nothing to hear," he gritted out, "my sister died five years ago, now, I only see a betrayer."
"I AM YOUR SISTER!" I screamed, my lower lip trembling.
"You are not my sister! My family would not betray me with our most trustworthy man. What did you have to do to whip Adrian around your little finder? Huh? Spread your legs?" he asked me mockingly.
His words hurt. "I'm not a whore," I gritted out, "William ... Adrian is my brother and he's always been more of a brother to me than you could ever be." I spat back.
