Chapter 22

"Goodbye dears, enjoy Hogwarts," Mrs. Weasley said as you were getting ready to run between platforms 9 and 10. "If you even need a place to sta..."

"We know," Everyone said in unison they start running between the platforms. You then make it to the other side boarding the train. The seven of you all dispersed looking for your friends. You found an empty compartment for yourself, Hermione, Harry, and Ron. You take a seat just relaxing. Sitting next to Ron. You lean against the wall feeling the chill of the cold window. You pull out one of your new reading books. It was a really sappy Romance book, but it would do for the rest of the train ride. You started to read the book and it soon started to become quite interesting, which was really unexpected.

A few hours later...

"I'm getting bored" Ron complained letting out a groan.

"So am I," Hermione said putting down the book of advanced potions, with a loud slam.

"Let's go for a walk," Harry says standing up along with Ron and Hermione.

"I wanna read a bit more," you said looking up towards Harry. They all left the compartment and you were all alone inside which was quite relaxing, you could hear the pitter-patter of the rain on the window. You continued reading the book and soon quickly closed it. The second hand embarrassment was too much, which made you smile. You then pick up the book again, trying to read it without getting embarrassed.

The doors open then suddenly close, you look up from the book and find Malfoy inside gasping for breath. Then walking up to the window.

"Um...can I help you?" You say making sure to remember the chapter of your book.

"Getting away from Pansy" He says taking a seat opposite you, he was wearing his black suit...again but this time with a tie. His hair looked the same although they looked a bit longer. You then sat upright instead of slouching. 

"What are you reading" He says curiously taking the book beside you. 

"Nothing" You reply with an unreadble look.

"A Romance book" He teases, "Good thing I like that sort of stuff" He then countinues with a smirk spreading across his face.

"Noted" You say sarcastically.

"How was your stay with the Wealeys" He asks reading one of the pages very intently.

"Fine, you?" You say snatching the book from him.

"Thats a mature book you're reading, are you sure your mature enough for it" He jokes.

You roll your eyes in return.

Soon, the trio enter back into the compartment, which makes Malfoy quickly stand up. 

"What are you doing here" Harry says with disgust.

"He was just leaving" You say answering for him, then he proceeds to leave the cabin. Hermione and Harry take a seating staring at you. Ron then walks in with a bunch of chocolate inside his arms. Then dropping them onto the seat. Opening one of the chocolate frogs. 

"Dumbledore again!" He exclaims throwing the card on the opposite seat to him. Everyone just stays silent for a while, there was literally nothing to talk about. Everyone was lost in their thoughts, there wasn't much to do. You stood up and wanted to get away from the boredom. You walked through the halls, looking for Cedric. You walk past the different cabins and don't find him, just a bunch of other Gryffindors and ravencalws. You walk further down into the train but you come to the part of the train most of the "famous family" students sit. So you turn around still scanning the train. You see Luna, Neville, Seamus. No Cedric. Did he even board the train?

One last time you tell yourself. Luckily you find him, you open the door and he smiles at you and you hug him as fast as you can.

"Hi" You say feeling a nice familiar warmth.

"Hey y/n, I missed you" He said as you take seat opposite him.

"Same, I looked everywhere I though you weren't coming at all" You say noticing the rest of the compartment.

"Oh erm the others went to stretch there legs" He says noticing what you were thinking.

"How was Christmas?" He asks you.

"It was really fun, ill tell you all about it someother time, I should get going, I bet we'll be arriving soon" You say looking out the window. 

"Definetly, I have to change into my robes" He says taking them out from a small bag. As you leave back to the trio. You see the three of them already in their Gryffindor robes. 

"y/n you shoul..." Hermione begins.

You cut her off saying "Already on it" Then grabbing your robes, on your way to change.

Ten minutes later...

The train soon came to a stop and the four of you all stood up along with everyone else, you heard many of the doors open and chatter suddenly filling the air. Soon Students filled the tiny halls of the train ready to get out and make their way into Hogwarts.
